Blunt force trauma. I can’t remember the last time I was this shook by a movie. I came out half way through and cried. Watching this, you can feel the degree to which the Caucasian Americans of the 20th century of saw non-white races as objects to exploit, and it is sickening. I can’t imagine loving my husband and finding out his true colors. My husband whom I watched this with is white and was also disgusted and appalled by how horrifically the whites treated the Osage. He said, “I’m actually glad there was no redemption at the end. I mean, it’s sad. But that’s what this is. Sad.” All that said, I’m really glad that Scorcese and Di Caprio made this. It’s a nod to and acknowledgment of the dark, wrongful, non-distant past and how white Americans exploited the native Americans.
Captivating. Seemed like 1 hour, not 3. Appreciated not hearing the "F" word even once. Sad history.
This is a great movie and a MUST SEE! Yes it is long but it doesn't feel that way. The book is also a must read. I am of Osage decent and my cousin was murdered during this time. I have discovered other that died during the same time under mysterious way. So before you dis this movie and call it boring , long etc. please Google the history. Hundreds of Osage Indians where being MURDERED for their headrights. The osage only allowed this movie to be done if it was going to be done right and Martin didn't spare no expense in making it and working closely with the Osage.
It left me with a desire to learn more about what happened to the Osage in Oklahoma.
This was such a sad story. It goes to show you how deep the truth has been hidden. I especially felt for Molly, the children, and all of the Osage who lost loved ones during this insidious time. Going to read the book for more insight. Scorcese delivered as always.
A WASTE OF MONEY
If Leo or others don’t win something for this movie or this doesn’t get nominated for movie of the year something is seriously WRONG with Hollywood this movie was EXCELLENT i need to get the book now and read it
A stunning film. One of Scorsese's best. This will sweep awards season. Every performance was perfect. Just when you think that you've seen Di Caprio at his best, he blows your socks off again. A must watch .
I learned so much history. Our education in school is incredibly white washed. We need to learn the real history of America.
Boring and sleepy. Just a good waste of time
Way to slow
Long and kind of boring.
I hazard this film would be enjoyed more by historians & the like or those who take a deep interest in the Osage tribe. There was no climax, or any lively scenes. The storyline was also very confusing at times, which was frustrating. We knew it was a long movie but we sat through most of it waiting for it to be over. I would not recommend.
Looking forward to the book. This was way too long and not handled all that well. The acting wasn't so bad but the screenwriting and runtime left much to be desired.
Way too slow could’ve ended an hour before
Movie was great. Really enjoyed it. Did not know the story before this. Glad Scorsese did this movie. It is very touching and I can see where it can strike a nerve.
It might be long but all of the details are required to understand the what happened
Was 3 hr movie but felt like it will never end, good nap tho
I would pay tribute to the real life events that occurred against the Osage in a better presentation. Hollywood can douch better than just put a few popular names on the screen. Deniro has lost his luster and shows his age. I fell asleep twice during the movie. Not worth the $18 tickets.
Boring and long. Great story though.
Very disappointed
Scorsese at its best! Lily Gladstone should win an Oscar for her performance, and well, DiCaprio delivered as always.
Indigenous people have a history of betrayal and abuse but you don’t see them asking for reparations. Outstandingly well acted.
Very long but very good. Worth seeing more than once
Masterpiece!
Huge fan of Marty and his films, including The Irishman, Raging Bull, to even the best of the best Good Fellas. Killer's of the Flower Moon for me was a just right but not over the top experience. Scorsese is at it once again, either his final master piece or more to come. The 3 hrs and 27 min run time gets nitty and gritty. Scorsese's long-awaited title goes in depth to the horrifying events that take place in the Osage Nation back in the late 1920s. This movie must be watched with a grain of salt. At times, the movie may seem to drag and just dry out. Other instances, it finds an adrenalin rush and keeps you wanting for more. The storyline is directed very well and explained throughout. Some scenes make the viewer lose focus, but somewhere in the middle, you're back in Marty's routes. Deniro, Leo. And Lily performs exceptionally well. Viewers have stated Gladstone was missing a bit and times. However, as the story continues, your mind starts to understand what each actor is going th
This was a great movie and telling of the true history of the indigenous people. It was very sad the way they were abused and killed for their land.😳🙏🏾
Needlessly long
heartbreaking truth that needs to be known
Definitely a Winner...a Must See! Gr8 Story..
Even thou it was a long movie it felt like a short movie very well told the story
Shutter island meets native Americans
This movie had great acting, simple dialogue and wardrobe appropriate for the time period. At 3 1/2 hours the story was too long to tell this story. I would have preferred more editing and a tighter script. There were too many minor characters making it hard to focus on all the players in this saga. I would have liked to see more emphasis placed on the investigation and more time given from the Osage point of view but once again non-melanated Americans feel their story is more important.
Great movie. Long movie, but definitely needed to tell the story properly. Fantastic cast with a few surprises.
monumental
If money is the goal then you’ll never be happy
Great movie, I loved it, but it’s certainly not the best movie I’ve ever seen like the critics are saying. The actors were fantastic and the story was good. Something was missing. I thought Gangs of New York was better.
I loved the movie must see award winner.
I enjoyed this movie. The reality of those involved show how far can you go when motivated by greed. It's a long film but you won't even notice it as the story keeps you wanting to know what's next. Great cast.
Too long
was way to long..
Dont go to watch this movie? Its horrible!!!
Why were the so-call Indians white there were no white Indians back then all natives were black
#INCOMPLETE
Definitely a movie to see. Interesting, sad good acting. careful how much you drink, it's a bit long.
Tragic historical story. A little long with some slow parts but good overall. Interesting way to end.
wonderful movie
Good nap
load up on snacks thats a long movie🤣😂
historic film.
Metacritic
It is, it has to be said, something of a stretch to believe that this regal woman would be drawn to a dullard such as Ernest, but Gladstone and DiCaprio manage to convince us that this is more than a partnership of expediency – it’s a marriage of real love.
I give Killers of the Flower Moon a mild recommendation. It’s too long and predictable. The saving grace is its performance across the board.
This is on first impression perhaps a very good, uneven film rather than an unequivocally great one.
