I love this movie. (I did NOT enjoy that amateur recreation that played before the show . . . THAT was terrible and a terrible waste of time.)

Great movie back to big screen with never before seen fans creation

Great movie, but fan video beforehand nearly ruined it. The video was almost 20 mins long, & showed fans acting out parts of the movie. This cheapened every scene I saw in the movie, that I had just seen the fan version of.

The 25 minute amateur film festival was had me cringing from the start. When I realized that they were going to do the entire film that way, every single memorable moment and line, I knew I picked a bad day to quit smoking. Left the theater and bought a carton of Camel Filters. I've smoked tree packs since last night and regret nothing.

Brought me back to my childhood.....

WOW! It's so much better on the big screen! Objects appear larger!!!

The movie was formatted weird. Parts of the top and bottom of the screen were cut off.

Movie is great, that fan crap that was run before it ruined it though. Don’t do that again. Worst Atom experience ever.

So amazing to see it on the big screen as an adult! Plus, got to share it with a friend who had somehow never seen the original ...she was on the edge of her seat and now loves it too. Epic movie!

Saw it in theaters when I was 10 in 1993 and it is still a amazing film to see on the big screen 25 years later.

Must be seen on big screen at least once. The dinosaurs are unbelievably realistic. The kids are phenominal. Great acting. And I love Jeff Goldblum!

One of the greatest movies of all time

I know this is a very popular film and most people have seen it, but if you haven’t seen it or are taking someone who hasn’t, Fathom makes you sit through at least 10 minutes of fan re-enactment videos that pretty much tell you the entire movie before starting the film. I could’ve done without that.

Still holds up after 25 years!

No matter how many times I have seen this movie it never gets old. However, there is nothing like seeing it on the silver screen. The theater I went to did not show the fan made film, that did not take away from the experience though.

A movie I can watch over and over. Much better on the big screen.

Loved seeing this in theaters again! I saw it when it came out back in '93 and have to say the visual effects have held up pretty well. The only thing I hated was the fact that the show was to start at 7 pm. I got there about 15 minutes before showtime, 6:45 pm, only to have to wait another 30 minutes for them to start showing some amateur recreations. They were cute at first but they took different shots from all the recreations that people had submitted and showed the basic gist of the entire movie. That wasted about another 10 minutes. So the 7 pm showing really didn't start until 7:40 pm. If it wasn't for the the complete waste of time, 40 minutes, I would have rated this much higher

Granted that the technology in the film was slightly dated, this is an awesome movie that still held up after 25 years. One of my and my best friends favorites.

Just as I remember it! Aside from this being the first big pic with GC, the sound is simply amazing! Not the same at home!
