the part where alan asks if his parents are still around and the guy is like, "yeah, i see 'em now and then. they're over on adams street"... and then he goes to adams street and it's a CEMETERY and they're DEAD. i would have gone back and punched that guy in the face.

Jumanji is a children's version of a horror movie in every sense of word, and even more surprising than that: it's actually got a strong emotional core, anchored by Robin Williams' terrific performance. I loved this movie as a kid, because unlike lots of other children's…

As a kid, I barely understood anything, apart from the outlandish visuals and almost horrific escalation. Now I'm older, I've realised this was a display of so many messages. The consequences behind the tiniest of actions. The life-changing events and personal trauma. The generational abuse we pass…

Being a fan of Robin Williams I can say this is the movie that made me fall in love with his acting!! The fact that a board game has so much power & can cause a ripple effect of consequences is insane!! That is really why I love this movie for all it is!!
Possibly one of my most rewatched films growing up, Robin Williams was such a great actor not only in this film but literally all of which he was in, rewatching this film over and over really creates a big sense of nostalgia for me overall - 11/10
