It was depressing
Renee was awesome!!
Renee Z killed it again, just like she did in ‘Chicago’!!! Riveting performance. It was completely mesmerizing. Never mind that it’s depressing, my goodness. It chronicles the final stretch of her declining popularity as a performer, juxtaposed with her rise as ‘Dorothy’ and the psychological programming of her childhood.
Great movie!
So many times Ms. Zellweger looked just like Judy and her singing terrific.
Zellweger was great. But, it was hard to watch someone destroy herself.
Great music, Zellwigger was awesome as Judy Garland. Movie itself was a bit slow moving. I’d see it again for the music.
Everyone in this movie gave great performances. Renee Zellweger was absolutely wonderful!
Although very sad I think Renee did an amazing job portraying Judy Garland. It’s a must see. Ms. Garland loved her fans and us fans continue to live her to.
Rene was great
Great film
a truly great movie!
Renee was incredible!
great story about judy Garland in her post WOZ years
Renee's singing voice was ok, but it couldn't live up to Judy's singing voice.
I was greatly moved at this tribute.
Wasn’t planning on seeing it this soon, but the wife crashed at so decided i would. It was a tad on the slow side—but that’s kind of to be expected, but it really was a beautifully tragic story and Renee Zellweger was phenomenal. I would not be surprised if she, at the very least, gets an Oscar nod.
Renee IS Judy! She was unbelievable. Sad story but extremely well acted. #Tears
Very authentically portrayed. Renee did a great job.
Very well done. Really captures the periods.
Extraordinary Movie!!
Loved it!! Give Renee an Oscar!!!
Moving biopic about a specific period in the life of Judy Garland, with flashbacks to her adolescence. Worth seeing.
Went with the wife. As soon as the lights dimmed I feel asleep. I woke up and my wife was gone.
Renee Zellqeger, was outstanding! She portrayed Judy Garland to a T! You should definitely be nominated for an academy award performance! All cast were excellant! What a sad life Judy had to endure
Zellweger is outstanding in mimicking Just Garlands mannerisms.
Renee embodies what Judy was in that point of time. Watching the movie, I forget it's Renee Zellweger. The transitions between past and present was done well, it captured the essence of how Judy was as a teen to her adulthood as a mother. Definitely worth seeing whether you're a fan of Judy Garland or Renee Zellweger.
Renae deserves the Academy Award!
Renee Zellewegger was fairly decent as Judy, though her singing voice left something to be desired in a few songs...and I don't think that was intentional. But it was still interesting seeing and learning about Judy's twilight in London.
An emotionally gripping story. This performance puts her in the Oscar hunt for sure!
Metacritic
Judy is well worth seeing, if not necessarily rushing to a theater to experience, thanks to Zellweger's uncanny ability to replicate Garland's quirks and still locate the humanity and fragility within her.
Judy is three-quarters of a good movie that would have been even better if it trusted the urgency of the last act of Garland’s life — and the brilliance of Zellweger’s performance.

Renee Zellweger gives the performance of her career in a film which is certainly an awards-friendly biopic, but strikes a darker, more maudlin note than expected.
