SPOILER ALERT. It’s nothing like the book. All the important details, the important conversations that happen in the book are not in the movie AT ALL. I am completely disappointed because they romanticized something that it was not.

Cringy, awful choice of actors, didn’t do the book justice, left out important parts in the book. literally awful, please stop showing and have an actual good director redo this movie.

Unfortunately the movie missed the mark and was being prompted as a romcom then this movie is about DV. Please if you have triggers be cautious

Too many sex scenes!!! Had a great meaning and story but had sex scenes after every interaction

Amazing choice of actors, some details about this story were missing. Colleen Hoover made guest appearance, which was awesome. Hoping they do It Starts With Us to do it justice.

Left out key details of the book- removing tons of nuance. Maybe for a good reason… so no young lady sees this film and can justify the actions of Ryle. The book wasn’t much better so I can understand where the shaky storyline started.

Wow!!! Wow!!! What a movie! Blake is amazing!!! The movie is about being brave, it's about awareness, choosing the right and with your brain instead of emotions! Gotta see it again!

it's definitely a movie.

I loved the book, saw the controversy, and gave it a shot. I will say the acting was great from everyone but Blake Lively. It was frustrating to watch the cast “act around her” especially because we had a chance to see a lot of depth from the whole team but barely scratches…

I wasn’t aware it was based on a book until after I saw it. I enjoyed the movie so much, I returned a second time and thought about purchasing the book.

The book was better but the movie was good.

Compared to the book, it doesn’t do it justice. 3 stars is fair only because I loved the book.

Justin Baldoni did an amazing job encapsulating the book! I felt like I was watching while reading. The actors brought levity and drama to a serious issue…their performances stuck with me the rest of the day. Loved it!!

Had potential to be a great movie. The cast was off, I think the lead female actress threw off the whole movie for me. She just didn’t invoke any sentiments or feelings that made me perceive what she was portraying. It was ok.

I think they just didn’t fully convey the whole message and the way the book was written in the movie. It came off more funny than anything.

This happens in so many more relationships than people realize. It’s not easy to just walk away. It’s a manipulation. It’s psychological. It starts out as a love story. It takes courage to leave someone you love even when they’re hurting you. You have to find the courage…

Love this movie

it was an ok movie. they advised it is not a Romcom movie. I felt like not worthy driving 30 min for a movie on Tuesday night, after work. it was not that grate, the way they advertised

Justin Baldoni played his role good, very scary at some points. I didn't like Blake Lively with the frizzy hair in every scene. it didn't stick to the book, disappointing, especially for significant items
