Ok..I didn’t hate this movie, it had a lot of build up and anticipation, yet it was the ending that gives this a thumbs down. It was dumb. The concept of insomnia settling in and going crazy was clever but they could’ve done so much more with it. Instead they left me disappointed
Slow burn crime thriller with fantastic cast and setting. Didn’t take quite as many story telling risks as other Nolan movies but moral dilemmas it’s based on definitely get more interesting as the movie progresses.

Christopher Nolan’s Insomnia is a gripping thriller that showcases his early talent for crafting tension and exploring moral ambiguity. While it doesn’t have the iconic status of Inception or The Dark Knight, it remains a compelling psychological drama. Al Pacino shines as a sleep-deprived…
Very engaging plot. Loved everything except maybe the end. Whoever says this is a snooze fest needs to get off there 30 second reels and learn to enjoy cinema. The IMDb trivia that describes the changes from the original movie are wild and super glad they are changed. Wild movie
Apparently a remake? Amazing cast for what felt like too much Pacino. Not enough into the rest of the characters. Excellently shot and great score. The ending was a “that’s it” kinda of end. Needed more. Not Nolan’s best but still good. People are saying the script/plot is dumb

This isn’t a Nolan masterpiece but damn it’s good it’s got a amazing cast stand out being Williams but Pacino gives a great performance the story and pacing are good and the ending is satisfied this is easy to understand at all unlike most other own movies and it good 9.5/10
Solid early Nolan outing with engaging plot & great performances, especially Pacino & his dynamic with Williams. The cinematography is a mix of beautiful Alaskan scenery & scenes of heavy shadow. The perpetual daylight is a perfect visual analog to the lead's internal torment.
7.19/10. Solid movie. Had lots of the Silence of the Lambs thriller marks. Great story was very good and easy to see the shots were done by Chris Nolan at times. Robin Williams and Swank both had great characters as well as Pacino being the best. Nothing that blew me away tho.
