my favourite part was when Indiana Jones subtly indicated his hatred for the Nazis when he said "Nazis. I hate these guys"
liam fA day late but this is the quintessential father's day movie.

I've always been a little hung up on some of the excessive silliness and some of the similarities to Raiders' formula, but on this rewatch, it finally hit me that this is my favorite adventure movie of all time. Why the hell shouldn't it get 5 stars
James (Schaffrillas)Jan 6, 2014Glamorizes archaeology, anti-fascism, Judeo-Christian myth, dads, murder, and blimps.
matt lynchNov 6, 2025Just noticed I logged this 3 years in a row so I might as well go for 4! Watching this on cable at 1am the way God intended

70mm I think this is better than Raiders. No, it is. It definitely is. I think a really interesting part of this film is how well it shows Indy’s weaknesses and how he contradicts himself all the time. I think you actually see a real change in character from beginning to…
KarstenJan 6, 2019when indy says “rats” and then the movie cuts to a pile of rats >>>>>>>>>>
Emma StefanskyJun 5, 2022After watching both Top Guns, I was in the mood for the quintessential dad movie. Not Spielberg's all-time best but definitely my all-time favorite of his

The best of the 3, IMHO
RayRay likedIndiana Jones and the Last CrusadeAlmost a loved, not quite as good as Temple overall. Great father son dynamic, very funny. Best of the original 3 for pure treasure hunt adventure, also the best (and only) character development. Hot nazi (not Marion). Plot is tighter than Raiders, unfortunately the ending drags
Edward likedIndiana Jones and the Last CrusadeThe dad? That was great addition to the movie!!! The only thing is that this movie isn’t very rememberable until the very end. The hitler scene made me laugh so hard!!! Also the ending was okay, was shock to see the dad shot, but understandable!

Indy’s dad was excellent. His love interest in this was different but it worked. Not a huge fan of the ending considering he doesn’t actullay end up with the grail but soild movie

Myrrowyn likedIndiana Jones and the Last CrusadeYoung Indy is a boy scout who steals a cross from grave robbers and gets hat from guy, that's how he becomes hat guy. Now hat guy is old and his dad is James Bond but old and obsessed with the cup that Jesus drank from. Nazis want the cup too because Hitler wants to live forever. Hay guy has to…
Thomas Joyce lovedIndiana Jones and the Last CrusadeAll-timer. Nothing short of exemplary filmmaking, this was where Spielberg and his team finally cracked these films. The set pieces are extraordinarily grand, pushing the boundaries of realism JUST far enough without being completely silly. The journey this time around is the best of all the…
