John Malcovich plays a sinister villain, and this is one of Clint Eastwood's better performances. The stakes in this film are incredibly high, and the action sequences are thrilling. There's not a single moment where you're not at the edge of your seat, waiting for the next move.

In the Line of Fire is a terrific action movie with good performances and a smart script that occasionally falters for trying too hard but, on the whole, takes us on psychological journeys that few of us have had opportunities to experience.
