God the way Eastwood says “Well I’ll be thinkin’ about that when I’m pissin’ on your grave.” Absolutely unmatched.

matt lynchMar 4, 2021surprisingly nuanced character study about a lonely and aging lawman + bug nuts thriller about an insane would-be presidential assassin = a great time at the gotdamn movies.

The end of history as a big dumb 90s thriller. Cold war won and what is left is a big bureucracy that keeps going around a presidency that is an empty office sorrounded by only symbolic meaning (there's no politics left) and far too many ghosts for hard won and lost battles…
Filipe FurtadoMar 28, 202170 Sturdy Clint Eastwood/Wolfgang Petersen collaboration that was destined to exist on cable. Caught pieces here and there growing up but this was my first viewing in full. The aimless US bureaucracy of the 90s is the basis for an aging civil servant unsure of his own…
SilentDawnAug 19, 2021Following 'Dirty Harry's success, the great Clint Eastwood forged new paths within his extensive acting career. In some ways, this kind of transition is not too unusual, since the difference between a law enforcer and one as a sheriff or outlaw is just the setting. The…

Malkovich is so good here he earns this thing a whole star on his own.
Chris EvangelistaMay 23, 2021“In the Line of Fire” offers one of the best charming psychopaths of early 90s movies, and the greatest gruff good guy in all cinema to track him down. Director Wolfgang Peterson (“Neverending Story,” “Das Boot,” “Perfect Storm”) helms “Fire,” which stars another modern…
theriverjordanSep 14, 2021John Malkovich says he's no liar, And might enjoy playing with fire. The Service is slacking, Eastwood gets tracking, As the stakes just keep getting higher.

John Malcovich plays a sinister villain, and this is one of Clint Eastwood's better performances. The stakes in this film are incredibly high, and the action sequences are thrilling. There's not a single moment where you're not at the edge of your seat, waiting for the next move.
A very interesting and highly intriguing movie that actually managed to keep my attention the whole way through. Clint Eastwood plays a very different role than I normally know him from, but with such a wonderfully written film, he definitely delivers. I’d give it a 9.4/10

This was a very well written movie with a interesting plot. It was cast perfectly, Clint Eastwood plays a cool as always character but the best performance in my opinion was John Malkovich wish plays a cold and disturbing character.
Well paced worthy adversary thriller. Even balance of power keeps you in it.
