Synopsis

Set against the rugged beauty of Minnesota's Boundary Waters region, IF I TELL YOU is a tender, suspenseful family drama about the secrets adults keep and the impact those secrets have on the children and the community around them. Anchored by a quietly powerful Carol Kane, a beautifully observed lead performance from young Etienne Kellici, and a remarkable ensemble cast, the film follows a 12-year-old boy as he tries to solve a mystery he is too young to fully understand.IF I TELL YOU is based on the novel Closed Doors by Lisa O'Donnell.

Saw the premiere at the TCFF - Shot in Ely, MN. Doesn't shy away from exploring the most difficult aspects of a very difficult discussion/situation. The film is at its best when the 4 main family members are spending time together on screen. All 4 actors are the standouts…

The script could have been a little stronger, but it gets 5 stars for the beautiful small town life, captured impeccably by director Tessa Blake. The entire ensemble cast was amazing, and I was very impressed by all the younger actors, they were pros!
