I remember seeing the animated film in theaters 15 years ago as a teenager and to come back to see it again as an adult in live action was incredible, it was refreshing and gave nostalgia, love this movie and your family will too! can’t wait for the sequel.
If you like the original you will love this film!
They did a great job with this movie. It has to be my favorite movie of all time. Clean, safe for children, exciting, excellent CGI on the dragons. Toothless as usual steals the show. Hiccup was great as well. Must see it!
It was good very true to the original just that I probably prefer the cartoon more than the live action remake it was still good just didn’t have the wow factor for me

I loved it all the way. I loved the designs of the dragons, and I liked Astrid in this movie. She is hilarious, and also Hiccup is great. All the actors did an amazing job as their roles, including Gerard Butler as Stoick the Vast. I rate this one a 5.05/5.

A visually impressive fantasy film with strong emotions and a meaningful story about friendship and trust. More realistic than expected and enjoyable overall.
The film was true to the original. They didn't make idiotic changes to the characters or plot as was done in Snow White. If you enjoyed the original, you will not be disappointed. Excellent movie!!
Amazing animations!
Better than expected
If you loved the original, you’ll love this. They kept this live action adaptation true to the original, and I couldn’t be more happy with it. Perfect casting, beautiful imagery. If you have not seen it, you should. This is a story for everyone in the family.

Good movie but a bit too predictable
So took my nephew when he was 4 to see this and he loved it took him and my 8 year old nephew and we all loved the way they brought Toothless to life! 10s across the board!
It was a realistic version of the original cartoon, which I already found to be one of my favorite movies. The right actors were in place to bring this movie to life. I will most definitely watch again with my family when it goes digital. I’m now looking for part two.
I really loved the movie and the people I brought with me they also liked it. I would recommend to everyone who likes these kinda movies. It follows the movie so well.

By preserving the core narrative, characters, and emotional arc of the original, the live-action remake remains true to its roots. Though the cast is new, the heart of Hiccup and Toothless’s friendship still soars.
The script, the gags and the action remain mostly intact. But this time around, real actors and sets become deadweight to a story that soared in larger-than-life animated form.
