Synopsis

Your VIP ticket to New Line's remix of the fan-favorite '90s classic. Aspiring club promoters and best buds Damon and Kevin are barely keeping things together. Out of money, down on their luck and about to lose the roofs over their heads - and freshly fired from their low-lift jobs as house cleaners - the pair needs a huge windfall to make their problems go away. In a 'what the hell?' move, they decide to host the party of the year at an exclusive mansion, the site of their last cleaning job, which just happens to belong to none other than LeBron James. No permission? No problem. What could go wrong? How about a time traveling DJ, undependable security, a runaway guest list, one borrowed Lamborghini, angry rival promoters, a stolen championship ring, escalating property damage, an angry koala..?

”This is a really, really bad idea.” The original House Party was such a sweet ball of bouncing energy with so many enjoyable characters that it was easy to overlook its few flaws and just enjoy the groove. But this? I mean what is this? Did anyone involved actually…

As poorly written as the movie and its jokes were, I can't say the deez joke didn't make me laugh childishly

If I had a nickel for every time Lebron James produces, and plays himself in a Warner Bros movie meant for theaters/HBO MAX, that only exists to mostly show off celebrity cameos and pop culture references, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it…

DC young Fly made the movie funnier. I guess I was expecting the old school vibe.

Never seen the original house party but going into this one sort of blind it is a fun watch with tons of humor and the number of cameos in this is crazy

House Party is fun enough but feels like a missed opportunity.

While this remix of House Party may leave some nostalgic for the original, it smartly doesn't try to copy the first film. However, it does stay true to the first version's celebration of friendship.
