    The skeleton used in film was a real human skeleton and was credited as himself at the end. Castle’s gimmick was “Emergo,” a fake skeleton that flew over the audience in theaters. Cassandra Peterson once said on Larry King Live (1985) that this was her favorite horror film.

    Recently found a love for old horror movies & have to say for it’s time. It definitely speaks for itself. Creepy but a good watch.

    When it was funny it was fun to watch, but it definitely had a lot of slow moments in between the interesting parts. The actors chosen weren’t very good, except for the actress who played Vincent Price’s wife i thought she did great playing a subtle and stern character.

    Decided to watch this in color, and it was interesting, but I think I still prefer black and white. I have so much nostalgia for this film, and I have loved it for years, which is why I probably always gravitate towards the haunted house subgenre.

    This is actually really funny and I don’t think it’s accidental. It’s witty with some nice eek moments (Mrs. Slydell) but overall, great character studies and a deliciously arrogant lead who gets a satisfying conclusion.

    A spooky, campy classic! House on Haunted Hill (1959) is all eerie vibes, old-school charm, and Vincent Price at his best. It’s fun, weird, and way ahead of its time. A must-watch for vintage horror fans.

    I liked this a lot. It's almost a comfort Horror movie. It's hoaky but interesting and Vincent Price is a treasure.
