Atom User Reviews for House of Gucci
Saw it last night with my fiancée. Started out slow but picked up steam as it moved along. What started out as a beautiful love story eventually disintegrates into a War Of The Roses. The Gucci family betrays each other and in the end nobody wins. It's kind of slow in spots but overall it's very much worth watching.
An hour too long. Too much unintentional comedy.
WHAT CANT GAGA DO!?!?! AMAZING!!!
Bad movie great acting
Love the acting!
Good cast!
It was good but it would have been even greater to see what actually happened with the lead up and throughout the trial. The end was just choppy after such a great film and then the end just cuts off.
Outstanding performances by Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto
Enjoyed every minute. Excelent movie! Gaga and Adam were delightful 😍
The first 20 Minute wasn’t bad and the rest was Extremely boring and time wasting . It was a Total Joke imo and We walked out at the end
So, so good. Gaga steals every scene she’s in. The story is so intriguing and told in a very compelling way.
lady gaga is the best
Couldn’t see it
Was expecting a meh cz critics reviews but surprised me. Great acting
better than expected, beautifully compiled, slow paced yet enjoyable, certain actors distracting. would recommend. Characters had somewhat complex behaviors, some unpredictable outcomes
The movie was way too long and boring at times.
Lady Gaga shined in this movie, and me seeing this movie with having no idea how deep the Gucci family was, and what happened and all that… it was very interesting… but the movie in whole was WAY to long….
If u like Gaga then you will like this movie
SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH!!!
The cast did an amazing job of embodying their characters. They were fun to watch, and it was a great story to see throughout the time. The movie was long but it wasn’t taxing, i enjoyed the progression and the story lines. If you’re considering watching, go watch. You won’t regret. A truly Oscar worthy performance.
It was great to see the story behind the Gucci Brand. Worth it
House of Gucci is a great film from Oscar buzz performances from Lady Gaga and Jared Leto. However, it is a bit slow where I don’t want to focus on the screen no more. At the end, this is a Lady Gaga film where she exceeded expectations from her second leading role after A Star is Born.
this movie was backstabbing at best! the Gucci family was ok until Patricia entered the family and "BOOM!" Adam Driver was a little weird, yet annoying, but Al Pacino & Lady Gaga were marvelous!
Great performances but boring AF
Really loved this movie. Really great acting. Lady Gaga is so good in this and Adam Driver is such a good fit. Casting was on point! Father , Son and House of Gucci!
interesting movie , kinda of a lackluster ending
Great cast! Interesting story… Pacino is a legend!
Watched 2 times in theaters, so much emotion and drama!!! Never knew Gucci had all that behind the family name!
Weird pacing, unnecessary scenes. Jared Leto was a great comedic relief to an annoyingly stressful family.
Wonderful acting! Driver and Gaga deserve Oscars! Pacino for supporting actor, too
Wonderful
Great movie from beginning to end
It was surprisingly good!
I wanted so bad to go and see this movie! I bought seats and sat down in my chair and watched the movie. I didn’t know it would be so long. It’s around 2 plus hours. Trust me! I love long movies! I loved every character! This was just a little too long. I was hoping there was more stuff, but no. Good movie!
A great cast. A great story.
Besides gaga being naked in 1/2 this movie it was a snooze fest. Wait for it to drop on netflix.
Didn’t finished
Metacritic
Gaga plays the film’s early scenes with a winking, playful innocence, consciously mirroring Patrizia’s story with that of Ally, her character in 2018’s A Star is Born – another ordinary woman plucked from relative obscurity.
With House of Gucci, you get a jumble of stories jockeying for screen time, and then you get a supernova blazing at the center of all of it that burns everything superfluous away. If the film is remembered for anything, it’s for being Exhibit A as what a great actor she is. Forget Gucci. Long live the house that Gaga built.
I found the film so insistently campy yet painfully mirthless—its style lies somewhere between opera buffa and telenovela—that my mental state of acute anguish may have skewed my perceptions of whatever the story has to offer.
