Robert Mitchum plays a nice toy train salesman in a department store and in a shocking twist, does NOT turn out to be a murderer hiding from the cops
Patrick WillemsDec 28, 2019i did not ask for this hetero version of CAROL but i enjoyed it nonetheless.
eelyApr 13, 2020Holiday Affair had more depth than I expected. It was much more than a sweet, light romance thanks to the smartly written backstory of Janet Leigh's character and her sparkling performance, which both resonated with me on a whole other level. The screenplay was clearly…

I watch this every year and every time Robert Mitchum stands up at dinner and says “I think you oughta marry me,” I gasp. I’m so caught up in the charm and heart of this movie every single time. And that kitchen kiss… it truly gives me butterflies every single time. Love,…

🖤Dec 5, 2020There's a scene where Mitchum and Corey are forced to make small talk while Janet Leigh makes drinks, and it's so marvelously awkward. That scene really spoke to me.

Very cute old fashioned rom com, & surprisingly modern feeling. Love watching this with my mom every Christmas. Robert Mitchum is charming, Janet Leigh is gorgeous, & they have great chemistry. The little boy has a ton of lines & does a great job. A feel good Christmas classic.
Pretty good old-fashioned Christmas love triangle, complete with a cute little boy who loves trains and a kindly store manager who saves the day. Pleasantly predictable but still enjoyable. Janet Leigh’s finance never really stood a chance once Robert Mitchum showed up.
