This film just gave me an extra cozy spooky season hug! I love all the Abbott & Costello monster films. They’re not scary, but are loads of fun! On this watch what stood out was how much Joan Davis’ physical comedy brought to the story & the humor.💕 Also the set designs…
While all the other 9 year old kids at school were cracking up at Scary Movie or the latest Will Ferrell movie or whatever, I was dying laughing at Costello being scared for 80 minutes
Cinematic Time Capsule 1941 Marathon - Film #46 ”Somebody's trying to scare us out of this house.” Lou and Bud take a break from military flicks for some old-fashioned haunted house hijinks. They’re bequeathed a tavern by Moose Mattson, but it soon becomes clear…
Yes, yes, yes, We've got Abbott We've got Costello A ghost It's held Sure Joan Davis was a delightful addition to the usual A&C antics. It's nice seeing a woman being both funny & physical while holding her own when on-screen with two comedic titans. Too bad she didn't do…

This was like Three Stooges physical comedy in a haunted house. My first experience with Abbott and Costello as well, and they're fantastic. Plus, they're now on my radar to check out more. Costello's physical comedy is crazy good, but the wordplay between them both is also good.
