One of the best movies of the renaissance era. The acting is better than I remember, Hades and Megura being standouts. However, if theres one thing I should point out, the animation (especially the faces) are drawn too extreme, and a little too silly. Still holds up well 9/10
laney likedHerculesI liked this movie a lot more than I thought I would. Had no clue what the plot was about but was NOT disappointed. Gorgeous. But the soundtrack was disappointing, there was only one good song. Ending was weird, why didn’t they make her immortal too? 💀 Still cute tho! 8/10

It literally looks nothing like the actual myth of Hercules, still a classic tho. I wish they just kept him as a mortal & maybe show the 12 jobs. Why did they make him son of Hera?? It doesn’t make sense. If u watch it without knowing anything about Greek mythology u’ll love it

hornets_nest6 is "meh" onHerculesPretty good movie I like the mythology of this and it feels like it could actually be worked into Greek mythology. Good cinema and a good storyline too which would be believable. A man wanting to see his father so bad that he’ll fight to the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The wonder is that it took Disney so long to get to the gods of Greek mythology. Hercules jumps into the ancient legends feet-first, cheerfully tossing out what won't fit and combining what's left into a new look and a lighthearted style.

Chock-full of celeb cameos, puns and contemporary camp, the movie is annoyingly hip. It wants to belong even more desperately than its title character, who yearns to be a god almost as much as Pinocchio wanted to be just plain human. Hercules, alas, is hardly in the same class with the emotionally compelling Pinocchio -- although on many occasions its hulking hero seems just as wooden.
