Synopsis

A woman discovers the newly resurrected, partially formed, body of her brother-in-law and lover. She starts killing for him to revitalize his body and escape the demonic beings that are pursuing him after he escaped their underworld.

    There’s camp and there’s bad. This was… not camp. Honestly painful to sit through, I don’t see the hype other than for the cenobites designs and certain cinematography choices. Are the sequels supposed to be any better?

    I was afraid this was not going to hit the same as it always does, but all the practical effects made me appreciate this even more. I have many fond memories, especially when I was younger and being told this was the forbidden and scariest thing ever lol. Every line Doug Bradley gave as "Pinhead"…

    “Jesus wept” Come to daddy 💀🩻 I would want frank too her husband is such a wimp Rip. I really liked the practical effects and gore, I liked the end where he was being pulled apart and enjoying it, but I didn’t get the homeless man turning into a dragon, I enjoyed it 7.5-8/10

    it's sharing the deep, repressed desires of the director and the writer - frankly, only watch if you are either very open minded or have a therapist on standby. its not the visual horror that will disturb you.

This is a movie without wit, style or reason, and the true horror is that actors were made to portray, and technicians to realize, its bankruptcy of imagination.
