That moment when DeNiro realizes he has to go after Waingro. He's not a romantic hero, he's a small-minded man of violence driven not by ideals or esoteric codes but by the basest of human urges. That moment when Pacino practically dances down the hospital stairs,…

Emma StefanskyNov 12, 2021for the first couple times i saw this film back in 2015, i considered natalie portman's character of lauren to be fairly superfluous, a melodramatic deviation in this epic story of male egos. i don't think that anymore, because my little sister died tonight, doing the…

I liked the parts where they would say the word "heat" because I was like, "Hey, that's what the movie is called!"

I couldn’t tell the difference between Al Pacino and Robert De Niro the entire time. But that’s because I barely know what either of them look like and they slightly look like each other. But really not at all actually
DUDE, DUDE… then like, dude… This is one of my favorite crime movies of all time. As dumb or childish as this sounds, if you have played gta or any other heist game, you have to watch this. The heists are great and the second half of this movie has you on the edge of your seat.

Pacing issues, there’s no reason this movie needs to be three hours long. No character growth whatsoever, they stay stuck in their toxic ways simply for the sake of perpetuating the stereotypical “masculine” character. Many eye-rolling moments, I wasnt impressed.
first half is lowkey 😴😴😴 but once that bank robbery scene happens, this movie takes off. great action scenes and de niro is so damn intimidating. theres no way he isnt a mob boss irl

6.57/10. Great acting, sound, and writing, all around. Loved the action, twists and detail to everything. I really liked the coffee scene of game recognizing game. Would have given it higher but in today’s world of thrillers/action movies there isn’t the wow factor and it’s long.
I get why this movie is so popular but it was just so long and i was not engaged by most of it. the parts i was engaged by were amazing but they were few and far between. its sad i usually like long movies but i just couldn’t get into this one
