    This is one of the weakest films in the franchise, but it still holds up well, sets up the world great, so many memorable scenes and moments, the plot works for what it’s trying to be and sets up the other films well, as a stand alone film this movie is good but not great, 7.6/10

    Rewatched for the first time in ages. Soundtrack is really good, especially the leaving Hogwarts music, amazing. For child actors they are all quite good, for most of the movie. Plot isn’t strongest but it’s very memorable. Love how childish it is aswell, perfect first movie.

Potter-philes are sure to get what they want -- if what they want is, in fact, an exacting version of J.K. Rowling's charming children's fantasy. If it's enchantment they are after, that's quite another matter.
