the most unrealistic thing about this movie isn't that there are penguins that can sing and dance, it's that the human race would collectively decide to stop destroying the ecosystem because it's killing innocent animals :))))

Astonishingly bad. There is no story structure, the characters are either flat or annoying, random plot points and themes are piled on top of each other with no rhyme or reason, the character designs are unappealing. I thought Brave was the worst Best Animated Feature…

Honestly these penguins slay. The singing? Slay. The dancing? Slay. It’s a pretty cute movie and I like how it highlights differences and in the end shows it in a positive light. “TAKE THE STUPID FISH” - Mumble 🐟

Awkward but graceful, derivative but daring, Happy Feet is, indeed, a flightless bird in the best and worst sense.

The essence of this inventive though erratic animated feature is joyous music and eye-popping motion.

This curious ecological parable was directed by George Miller (Babe: Pig in the City), who still has an eye and a sense of humor but on this particular outing can't get the script he wrote with three others to make much sense.

In the year of the animated movie, this one soars above them all.
