It's like unintentionally burping mid-conversation. It's like having to go to the bathroom really badly while you're stuck in traffic. It's like walking in on your parents while they're doing the nasty. It's like misreading an invitation and mistakenly thinking…

ParkerNov 20, 2012"I'm not laughing AT you. I'm laughing WITH you." "But I'm not laughing." Is it fucked up that I laughed my way through all of this? Is it fucked up that I think the line "I'm champagne. YOU'RE shit!" is the greatest way to tell off your ex I've ever heard? Is it…

So it turns out the title IS ironic.
Nathan RabinApr 8, 2020if you’ve just watched happiness (1998): 1. vomit 2. take a long shower 3. (if you laughed during the film) reflect on why

Dylan Baker gives one of the most undervalued performances of the 20th century in this marvel.
Eli HayesSep 22, 2020Definitely lived up to its title, Happiness is such a nice, quirky little gem to watch with your family. Give it a try.

A masterclass in black comedy: a look at the underlying evil of people, humanizes some of the worst people out there. Hilarious and simultaneously horrifying. What’s so scary is how familiar these lives are and how these people are your neighbors. Superb script and performances.
I'm watching all the disturbing movies iceberg and I really understimate this one. The cinematography and ost are very 80s sitcom like which makes the movie even weirder. Made me shiver and gag as much as Serbian Film BUT this one is 0 graphic, 0 violent and feels more personal.
This is one of the most bizarre viewing experiences I’ve ever had. The subject matter is pretty much as dark as it gets but it’s portrayed through this soft, wholesome lens, almost as if to lull the audience into a false sense of security while simultaneously traumatizing them.

it wasn’t poorly made, just a painful watch idk why anyone would enjoy/recommend this movie it was just uncomfortable & disturbing, ESPECIALLY the pedofile guy it was UNBEARABLE to watch him talk to his kid like that. I was more interested in Joys story that kinda went nowhere
Dreadful from start to finish. Amazingly written with an all star cast. Extremely disturbing without having any overly schlocky scenes. Surprisingly funny too if you are into dark humor. They don’t make movies like this anymore.

An interesting watch that challenges what a typical audience is used to and comfortable with in a film. Not sure I’d watch again but it’s definitely worth a first watch
bro wtf did I just watch 😭 ?!? Superbly written script in the worst of ways. Want something dark without realizing it watch this!
