My random shuffle series landed me on one of the GI Joe movies. Aside from them easily being labelled as a US military propaganda series, I've always considered them capable superhero genre stories. The wide array of unique characters and heavy sci-fi themes had me sold…

Watching this and Transformers the movie while having ZERO knowledge of both franchises is wild to say the least. But even through all the confusion there’s honestly still some fun to be had and that’s quite impressive.  Anyway imagine my shock when I found out Sgt.…

Bursting onto the screen with all the subtlety of a stars and stripes coloured sledgehammer, G.I. Joe: The Movie offers plenty of amusing, infectious machismo from the film's heroic protagonists. Vying against other '80s movies for the most testosterone-filled characters…

I was close to marking this as a rewatch because I was almost certain that I had seen this at some point as a kid growing up in the early 90's—but I feel like I would have remembered the time when G.I. Joe's longtime foe, the terrorist organization Cobra, was replaced…

Great movie. Totally fun to see it in a theatre. Far and away the best part is the incredible opening sequence Our theater didn't bother to turn on the sound or video until twenty minutes into the stream. We missed the best parts and only saw anything at all because I…

Is it a “good” movie? I don’t know, but it sure is fun! It’s sort of like one of those odd sci-fi adventure movies you catch on a Saturday afternoon with plenty of action and over-the-top one-liners. All that PLUS Sgt. Slaughter as the voice of Sgt. Slaughter!
