Synopsis

A notorious prison, an invisible force starts killing inmates brutally, compelling enemy gangs and corrupt guards to work together as they try to survive the mounting bloodshed.
Moviegoers are saying
Joko Anwar's latest offering splits audiences with its ambitious blend of satirical horror and social commentary about Indonesia's justice system. While praised for its cinematic visuals, haunting score, and artistic gore sequences (particularly the striking Justitia scene), viewers are divided on whether the comedy-horror balance works or falls flat.

This delivered on so many things I didn’t even know I wanted going in. It gives the traditional elements you want from a prison film, while also incorporating some of the most clever and fun writing for a ghost story I’ve seen in a while. Peak characters, humor, and music too

It wasn’t that bad like I could tell it was trying to be campy and funny but like again I could tell they were trying and forced laughter just isn’t funny And also I’m not a gore expert but it wasn’t very good gore imo not that “good gore” even sounds possible

So much entertainment to be had. The way the scale goes from serious to silly on a dime is very fun to watch. Also, the guy who played the pervert would play a great Victor Zsasz.

The karma for the ghost felt super unjustified, found it more gore than a satisfying horror show
