It's quite a lot of fun.
More than one joke or one idea. It's a thoroughly satisfying comedy --and a respectable space adventure, as well.
San Francisco Chronicle
An affectionate, often clever and unflaggingly funny satire.

Did You Know?
- The evil warlord Sarris was named for film critic Andrew Sarris, who once trashed producer Mark Johnson's The Natural (1984). Sarris' metal eye-patch mimics that worn by General Chang (Christopher Plummer) in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991).
- When our heroes are in the engineering room, unable to raise the command deck on the intercom, they hear the doors to the room open, and they all look up in surprise. Next we see Sarris and crew entering through the open door. When the camera cuts back to our crew, they are now walking toward the door, apparently unaware that anything is happening, and they are surprised all over again at the appearance of Sarris.
- Jason Nesmith: Never give up. Never surrender.
