Moviegoers are saying
This David Wain comedy is dividing audiences into two camps: those who find its absurdist humor absolutely hilarious and those who find it physically painful to watch. Shot on what appears to be the Stars Hollow set with aerial establishing shots that work best on the big screen, it's a deliberately silly film that some reviewers describe as making them 'grateful to be alive' while others can only muster repeated 'Ow's.

Well let me tell ya me and jake could not stop laughing this whole darn movie. This is what Naked Gun could only dream about being. A movie with flawless joke delivery and the most creative storyline ever. And don’t even get me started on the celebrity cameos.

Less of a direct spoof than either Wet Hot American Summer or They Came Together, Gail Daughtry And The Celebrity Sex Pass gestures at larger Hollywood mythos, but its humor gets lost along the way—even though it’s equipped with a map to the stars.

It has far too many ideas for its own good, and yet no ideas that are good enough to sustain this bizarre curio of a comedy.

Despite some thin spots, “Gail Daughtry” is a comic highlight of the summer.
