It wasn’t as disturbing as I was led to believe. It’s not gory. I enjoyed the acting. The living room one camera uninterrupted scene was fantastic. I was enjoying what it was. Then you get to the remote control thing and I’m out. That was sooooooooooooo dumb!!!!
The american version is the same exact film, verbatim. So if you have seen one, you have seen them both

I swear to god it’s the worst movie I’ve ever seen. Just terrible throughout. If I could give only one super-dislike in my life, this movie would get it for sure!
This movie and the american version are shot for shot, I literally just finished watching the american version and its exactly the same — even the house set is exactly the same (give or take a window) The actor in the American version even trips like in this movie (which was clearly an accident…
Give it up for Susanne Lothar because WOW that performance. The atmosphere, the constant sense of unease from the very beginning, everything felt so meticulously and intentionally done. The scene with Lothar grieving is so captivating, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen the entire time.

i was on the edge of my seat the entire time, almost reminded me of Eden Lake how the guys just did this for fun with no real motive & the ending is unfair. The fourth wall breaks were so good!! it made me feel so uneasy and like violated while watching. amazing acting, creepy af
an absolutely fantastic and oftentimes genius commentary on needless violence and genre cliches in film. haneke’s boldest project, a showcase for his demented and forward-thinking ideas. perfect performances and camera-work alongside fourth-wall breaks galore; not for everyone
