if you look like quentin tarantino and your brother looks like george clooney you probably lost the genetic lottery

JayNov 30, 2018Weirdly enough really dug the first half—Rodriguez mostly stays out of the way of Tarantino’s writing and Clooney performs the hell out of it—but the transition to horror is a total whiff imo. Rob just caves to his usual impulses and deploys some gratuitous schlock with a…

Started off great in a hilarious, dark/strange Tarantino kind of way. Then about 20 mins in lost all sense of direction and identity, leading head first into the zombie/vampire blood bath section. Yikes
I was actually pretty surprised I enjoyed this movie so much. Funny, bloody and definitely turns up the heat in the 2nd half of the movie. I’m always impressed with older movies how they do the makeup, costumes and effects without cgi and I thought they did pretty well in this. Pretty unserious…
Went into this film blind. The only reason I chose to watch was cause I saw George Clooney with a neck tattoo and I needed to see.The first hour was great,I really enjoyed it.But then the bar scene came.It was an unexpected turn of events. No foreshadowing, nothing!Fun nonetheless😊

8/10 - What a crazy film, in the best way possible. Unfortunately I knew about the vampires twist in this film which was annoying, but it didn’t ruin it for me at all. When that twist happens though, it turns the film upside down completely. I’ve never seen a film quite like it.
One my fav 🍿🎞 Very dope n vibe horror movie. I like Mexico (+ areas close to it) n its atmosphere (desert, cowboy boots, drought, revolvers, Berdanks, etc.) The film is legendary. Quentin Tarantino in my heart

An awesome stylized vamp classic and a great example of a movie that dramatically shifts tone mid-film
It's surprising how unspoilt this was, considering the number of iconic scenes it has. The first half is almost too deceptively quiet, even with the outrageousness that occurs. You feel something boiling up, and before you know it, it's the blood under your skin. If you know the crew behind this…
It’s just the right amount of stupid. The story in the beginning (which on its I own I find more compelling) gets highjacked midway through. The acting was great, and the action was overall good. With a fair amount of twists*, I was impressed with what they threw at me next.
