Basically an 80s De Palma movie. In other words, classic Hitchcock, but pervier.
Patrick WillemsOne of the most graphic and accurate depictions of serial murder in film that I've ever seen. I cannot believe that this was a wide release film, or that *that one* scene is uncut. Whenever I hear somebody say that their sensibilities were offended by a film I'll ask them…

Frenzy is Hitchcock's last great gift to British Cinema, also one of Hitchcock's best and least appreciated films. It's his most graphic and nasty movie but with all the classic elements of what makes a great Hitchcock. Also this movie proves why Brian De Palma is true…

Matt SingerDec 1, 2024the sleaziest Hitchcock ever got, as if he was waiting for the 70s to arrive so he could go absolutely balls-to-the-wall nasty. A film with obvious sadistic origins for much of De Palma's subsequent work. One of Hitchy's most under-appreciated efforts; a great time!

Would y'all think I was a sicko if I told you FRENZY was one of my top 5 favorite Hitchcock films? I hate being emotionally manipulated - my heart strings do not need to be tugged upon, I do not wish to be shocked for shock's sake. Hitchcock was a genius of manipulation,…

Rafael "Mister Movie" JovineDec 26, 2014I love this film. It is my favorite Hitchcock. This is probably my 3rd or 4th watch and I always find something new in it. This time I noticed that Gialli directors must have been influenced by it. I love the fact that scenes just went on forever and many things played out…

Simple serial killer thriller from Hitch. I wasn't super invested before the central hook enters in, but the second half is a lot more interesting & there are brilliant moments throughout. Really enjoyed the detective character, doing his due diligence to piece things together.
Great serial killer film and you can see Hitchcock is at his best while directing in this genre. Yet the ending felt a bit anti climactic but to be honest all of his films ends in a unique way.
