when he finally saw forrest jr. and he was like "is he smart?" i was like oh great now i gotta get up and get the tissues to wipe these ugly tears away
shayMay 27, 2017This is like, some kind of weird, conservative fantasy. If watching this served any good purpose, it's a possibly vital reminder that the Clinton era was not as progressive as many of us might like to remember - the latter half of the 20th century in America through the…
Neil BahadurJan 9, 2021No you know what i AM gonna review Forrest Gump. I think the ~letterboxd~ criticisms are valid but when Forrest sees his son and starts crying and says “Is he smart?” or when he says “I may not be a smart man, but I know what love is” or “I GOTTA FIND BUBBA” and when…

“Nothing good comes from going online. You get online and see they hated Forrest Gump. Freakin’ best movie ever.” - Ray Romano, The Big Sick Welcome to Film Twitter, Mr. Romano.

A movie about a man who runs and enjoys cutting grass.
alorMar 30, 2020I didn't realize why people hate this film until it clicked with me that this is what Boomers honestly believe about their lives and history. No alternative outcomes, no possible way that things could have been better. Just a complete surrender to cynicism. Of course it won…
COBRARockyNov 30, 2021I don’t think this movie is as confused as people claim. The message is pretty simple: Jenny hates her country, protests it, and is punished for it. Lieutenant Dan believes in and is willing to die for his country, and his country doesn’t care at all. You’ve gotta be a…

No idea why people have this movie listed as a classic. It’s just bad. Quotable but bad. 2/10 React with an emoji or comment below if you agree

yes this is a good movie but its not even in my top 100. for a lot of people its a top 10 film of all time, and i just dont get it.
This movie is just perfect. It can make you laugh and cry, if a movie can do that it’s amazing. Tom Hanks is perfect as the role of Forrest. 10/10, nothing more to say.

Such a masterpiece. I love how it dives into all of American history during the 50s-90’s so many classic references. My favorite is the Alabama football omage to Bear Bryant

Forrest Gump is Hollywood film-making at its most corn-fed, sucrose-enriched and calorific; you’ll need a sweet tooth for it.
Zemeckis, an undisputed master of film technology, shows off an equal aptitude for vivid storytelling.
Contrasting Forrest's unassuming innocence with the upheavals and rancor of the times, the film is a wisely goofy commentary on the stupidity of smartness.
