Atom User Reviews for Five Nights At Freddy's
Don’t listen to the critics, if your a true FNAF fan you are going to love it. It was definitely worth the 8 year wait
We are the fnaf!
Loved the movie. The story is great, could be more organized in the beginning and could use some more explaining. People who haven’t played the games wouldn’t understand the movie much.
Movie was trash
Video game adaptation movies can be hit or miss. It seems like the people that made this movie really cared about the source material
Was that the bite of 87?
Probably one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen
My little nephew and I loved it, and honestly, he says it's a great movie and a true fnaf fans will love it . 🎤🐻
it's alright. I think this is more for people that played the game
One of the best movies I’ve watched. 11/10 would watch again^^
This movie was made for FANS! Don't listen to the critics when they say this movie is bad. If you're a fan of Five Nights At Freddy's, you're gonna have a blast with this movie!
so much fun and a great song!
These high executives reviewers critics don’t know a good movie if it hit them in the face p.s. know the lore stupids
We loved it
Nice!
it was insane
I LOVED IT ITS SO FUNNY AND THE JUMPS MADE IT DO IT FOR ME WOULD WATCH AGAIN ON DIGITAL😘🥰
Awesome movie epicness overload best movie of all time must watch my kids loved it and I’m not a five nights at Freddy’s fan this will make you want to devote your entire life to watching hour videos of FNAF lore!!!
Lots of references and surprises and neat way of tying together a story that’s convoluted in its source material. As a fan of the franchise, which this movie is made for, it excels. It should be kept in mind that this is a blumhouse movie. Temper expectation and you’ll have a lot of fun. For regular movie goers or those lacking in context, it will be a poorer experience. 10 outta 10 as a fan, 7 for casual movie goers.
Fan base is horrible, crowd never shut up!
The movie is not as bad as I thought it would be. It is enjoyable movie .
So good made my dad come back!
I’ll give it 3 just bc I’m a fan… but man I left a little disappointed, it was still a fun movie though.
If you are a fan of the games (we are) you will enjoy this movie.
If you're a FNAF fan, this movie is for you. It was unforgettable, heart pounding, and packed full of that Scott Cawthon lore baiting with a great story. Sure, some of the dialog was weak and there were a few confusing moments that were clarified after some scenes, but overall this was an excellent MUST SEE for FNAF fans!
Amazing
Movie is good. not as good as games but that's perfect give alot of good story and fun. It's made to be more open to a wider audience. Gives all that you could need for the game and still open for those that don't play to be able to injoy as well.
Awesome movie wife and kids loved it
It was okay
Good movie but the pg-13 rating leaves the older fans wanting more in terms of gore and blood since the original games depict many gory scenes
Hur hur hur hur
no markiplier cameo matpat was cool though
Movie was garbage
Very disappointed and highly unsatisfied today at AMC. Not worth my money non stop disturbance during the whole movie. I WANT A REFUND!!!!
Annoying kids and losers screaming and was a huge snooze fest.
Cringy ending. Good actors, terrible cgi
Great horror flick without all the gore. Definitely worth a watch.
it’s so funny
I LOVED IT SO MUCHHHH
Very okay movie, somewhat worth the nostalgia
🇧🇷
Not cannon
It was amazing I loved it it was shocking in some parts but if you are a five nights at Freddy’s fan watch it
I guess you need to be hard fan to enjoy totally, for me that never play any game it feels regular, not really bad just regular.
absolutely loved the movie
My son plays the game and was fan girling over Cory Kenshin being in the movie. He said that he hopes there is a sequel.
Wasn’t what I expected but still pretty good
A fun movie for the fans and enthusiasts alike. A must watch!
Never Played Game but a great watches
Honestly was expecting different but I loved the game so I’m loyal to the movie. Little disappointing though.
Metacritic
Five Nights At Freddy’s has flaws, but it is an excellent adaption. It feels like the game while still being accessible to any newcomers by crafting an original story.

A movie that feels like it’s been machine-learned and reverse-engineered from YouTube fanfic, rather than rooted in any kind of recognizable human experience, behavior, or psychology.
Like “It,” “Five Nights” wants to milk horror out of something associated with the innocence of childhood, and on that level the quirkiness of the visuals and initial moments of wit likely provide enough of what audiences want to survive, commercially speaking. Even so, the net result is another slice of horror that at best feels a little half-baked.
