Moviegoers are saying
This Five Nights at Freddy's sequel delivers exactly what fans hoped for - bigger scares, better lore integration, and animatronics that will haunt your dreams. While critics find it rushed and newcomers might feel lost, the FNAF faithful are celebrating a franchise that finally 'listens to the fans' and improves on its predecessor with heart-pounding jump scares and deeper game references.

Marginally better than the first in terms of scares and atmosphere, but significantly worse for story. This is NOT a movie made for FNAF fans or even new viewers alike, as it’s just a thrown together mess. The animatronics look amazing though, especially the withered versions.

brooke likedFive Nights at Freddy's 2i feel like it’s steering so far from the plot but also at the same time… not ? like the original lore is in there enough to not complain but then also they just be adding stuff

What? why? who? when? where? how?
eepy lovedFive Nights at Freddy's 2This is genuinely THE movie of 2025. It ties up loose strings from the first movie, it built up the world for the third movie and best of all it beautifully captures the fnaf 2 location… lowkey it’s better than the first movie idk why people are hating
Sabrina Bondi likedFive Nights at Freddy's 2Though the plot is all over the place, the video game sequel has some effective scares and slick visuals.

A laughably cheesy, empty-headed follow-up that makes the mediocre prior film shine in comparison.

An inexcusable horror sequel that lowers the bar to zero in terms of fun and fright. The only thing that scares me is this turd’s inevitable box-office success.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 gives sequels, video game adaptations, and gateway horror movies a bad name.
