this made my fnaf heart very very happy and very very satisfied with how they portrayed all the animatronics and just everything, same with the first movie, i know a lot of people say it wasn’t “scary enough” but i felt very satisfied and happy from both movies so far. i love this franchise so…

Super fun. I just rewatched the first the night before this and this does almost everything better. The kills are more violent and frequent, the pacing is much better, and the third act has much better payoff than the first. A pleasant surprise after initially low expectations
Marginally better than the first in terms of scares and atmosphere, but significantly worse for story. This is NOT a movie made for FNAF fans or even new viewers alike, as it’s just a thrown together mess. The animatronics look amazing though, especially the withered versions.

har. I'm a little confused on who this is for. it's way darker and scary compared to the first one, but still isn't that violent. the story is real weird, the whole twist villain thing is just kinda.... weird. the practical effects were really great though.
its fine idk. continuity is annoying im annoyed with the plot and w the power of friendship everything is all fine and good again. this movie plays like it was written by a middle schooler and i miss the games

IGN is wrong as always, absolute cinema

With its jacked-up production budget, “Freddy’s 2,” at the very least, delivers more intricate set pieces that allow for a spatter of solid kill scenes — the rest is as tame and creaky as its signature animatronic teddies.
I get a sense that Five Nights at Freddy’s and this week’s inevitable salad of a sequel Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, marks a turning point in how Hollywood approaches the visual medium that has been eating its lunch for decades. The lesson: Stop trying to make video game film adaptations that appeal to a general audience. A giant in-joke of a movie can pay off bigtime if the target audience is big enough. Screw the rest.
