I hate the fact that I'm old enough to have witnessed Zac Efron go from teenage roles to dad roles

I thought it was interesting that they played Fireball by Pitbull every time the little girl torched someone, certainly livened things up a bit

I was practically begging for someone to put me out of my misery while watching FIRESTARTER. This lifeless remake can never decide what type of film it wants to be. Horror? Action? Family drama? A superhero origin story? Either way, it neither expands nor improves on nearly…

I didn't like the ending and is why I only give it a 4 star.

The story and acting were good, but there seemed like too much was left out. Like the abridged version of a movie. You can figure out what’s happening and follow the story, but there wasn’t enough background to make you really care about the characters.

I just think it could’ve been better but it was good. The 1984 version is better in my opinion.

Despite solid performances from Zac Efron and Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Firestarter feels stifled in story and presentation.

Few authors have been as badly victimized by Hollywood as King; this is just another title to add to the list.
