This movie is mostly about baseball but also it has Amy Madigan halting the spread of neo-fascism in America

I dare Hollywood to make a movie this unabashedly sincere and good in 2018

We kicked off the new year with a Flanaplex screening of one of my favorites, Phil Alden Robinson's FIELD OF DREAMS. There were several friends in the theater who'd never seen it, and I found it hard to explain to them what it was about. It's about a farmer who plows…

i really really tried to like this film but it was just too childish for me. i first watched it when i was 9 or 10 and i felt the same way about it then. its one of the negatives of being allowed to watch rated r movies as a child, you lose your ability to just enjoy a film
Really… interesting. Has kind of a lot going on but at the same time it’s pretty easy to follow. I understand the plot but I just didn’t get WHY the plot. Yk. Like why was this movie made its just so obscure but it was a little interesting to watch at least

Rating: 8/10 Field of Dreams is a timeless and deeply moving masterpiece of American fantasy that tells a profound story about faith, redemption, and reconciliation through baseball. Director Phil Alden Robinson crafts a sincere modern-day fairy tale anchored by a perfect cast and an overwhelming…
A tale of the joys of baseball and healing old regrets b/t father & son. The plot feels meandering until its threads tie into a neat ending that will make most people's eyes well up at least a little. Costner is sincere and heartfelt, and you gotta love James Earl Jones.

Good movie with an emotional storyline, but I do feel like this movie was overrated. Although it had potential in representing how strong love is, I do feel that this movie was drawn out. However, I don’t watch or play baseball, so if you do, I recommend trying it!
I’ve loved baseball for most of my life and after watching this for the first time at 23yrs old, I can say this is one of the best baseball movies I’ve ever watched! I absolutely loved every minute of it.

It's Costner's eye-on-the-ball exuberance that carries Dreams past its often mechanical aesthetic paces.
If you're in the right mood this movie will bring a tear to your eye. If you're not you're probably already watching Reservoir Dogs.
Despite a few wrong turns early on, the movie gathers graceful momentum and heads straight to the warm heart of the book - that fond spot located just on the safe side of sentimentality, a feel- good place that doesn't leave any feel-stupid fallout.
