I freaking loved it. My husband doesn’t really g for those types of movies but he is sweet to me so we went. And we were both giggling at the tension. I loved it I will own that movie one day.
I wasn’t sure how I felt about another Emma movie but this one was great! It had tons of good humor in it and was very well directed. My new favorite version of Emma.

It had good bones. The humor was perfectly formed, Dow ere the shots, set and costume design. It needed an extra shove in the direction it was already traveling in. I speak on behalf of family that holds Jane Austen’s work to high regard. No dude, no tea

It's clear that de Wilde adores Emma, for all her challenges, just as much as her fictional admirers. And audiences should fall in love with her again, too.
It’s a tart little gem, bolstered by a bounty of clever and winning performances.
In the lead role, Anya Taylor-Joy creates an admirably spiky character who is less likable than some of her screen predecessors, and all the better for it.
