Gah, the dialogue in this movie is soooo good. Phyllis: Mr. Neff, why don't you drop by tomorrow evening around 8:30? He'll be in then. Walter: Who? Phyllis: My husband. You were anxious to talk to him, weren't you? Walter: Yeah, I was. But I'm sort of getting over…

It's an alright movie. Not a huge fan of the movies that tell you the ending first and then backtrack. Especially ones like this where it has scenes that are clearly meant to be suspenseful but fail since you know the ultimate outcome.
it was good. i had to watch this for a school assignment, and although its not a genre im into, it's not bad. the ending was a little meaningful/special to me, dont know how to explain why lol just a feeling between the two 🙂↕️

Spellbinding look at the corrosive effect of evil. Wilder's writing is delightful. Beautiful cinematography & gripping narrative framing device. Stanwyck rocks as the quintessential femme fatale. A third standout is Edward G. Robinson as Keyes, who steals the show constantly.
One of the greatest movies ever made and the best example of the film noir movement. Everything is perfect in this film down to little details sprinkled throughout. Billy Wilder is one of the greatest directors in film history. This is a must watch.

Truly the noir blueprint, in terms of narrative at least (a lot of the visual style would come later). Clever and entertaining, though probably not very surprising for a modern audience.
Classic Billy wilder a little too much exposition but still a great film. Fantastic attention to detail and there’s a reason it’s so referenced in many other films. Love you baby
