The blind guy is such a sympathetic character who just wants a second chance at being a father; and when an opportunity was presented in front of him, he was blinded by his own desire to fill the void in his heart that only a daughter can fix. Truly sympathetic. What a nice…

Maybe turning the old blind man into a Mother Gothel type would’ve been a cool concept if he wasn’t already a turkey blasting rapist to begin with.

They should make the next one about a psychopath who can’t smell. Wild that they turn Osama Blind Laden into a hero. Also: one of the most appalling examples of a trailer spoiling most of a movie. Genuinely experience-ruining.

I'm no doctor but I'm pretty sure that a child's heart is too small for a fully grown adult to have put in their chest

The first half of the movie was very similar to the first. You’re holding your breath with the main character hoping they don’t hear you. If you enjoyed the first movie, you’re gonna like this one. The suspense is great and the kills are creative. Spoilers***** The…

We love charismatic murders and compelling monsters, but it’s always a little more comfortable to love them when they appear to be acting for good. The best thing about Don’t Breathe 2 is the way it constantly undermines that comfort, as though demanding we question the desire to assign hero and villain roles at all.

The increasingly ornate violence (much of it taking place in a newer if no less creaky location) fuels an effective thrill machine, and if that machine can’t match the unexpected sweetness of the T-800’s relationship with John Connor, well, maybe that’s for the best.

The film’s gore is just as likely to invoke fear as to serve as a killer punchline to one of Rodo Sayagues’s set pieces.
