Atom User Reviews for Dolittle
I spent $30 on Tickets, $20 on Snacks... Kids were awake through the Trailers, they were more interesting, and fun than the actual movie was. 15 minutes in the movie my kids fell asleep. $50 to sleep. I stayed awake for every terrible moment of the movie; cliche jokes, predictable plot, lame humor, everything about the movie was terrible. The trailer for the movie made Dolittle seem like it was going to be an epic. Nope. The VFX, voice acting, and barely tolerable quickly cut scenes make this movie something that came out in 00’. Don’t even watch this on Netflix/Redbox - save your time & money.
Many laughs throughout the movie! A must see!
Very cute and funny movie. The audience laughed the whole way through.
couldn't really understand robert downs jr.
Great actors. Terrible writing.
Fantastic movie!!
Great movie! I loved it I saw it opening night and worth the price of the tickets! Will be going to see it again!
Great fun for the family.
Amazing movie :)
I was kinda disappointed the CGI sucked most of the time, the villain was so stupid and cartoonish, but at least RDJ was good but his accent was kinda hard to understand most of the time so yeah I wasn’t a big fan of this movie 2/10
Love it.
This guy is a fabulous actor, his accents are remarkable.b
Very Cute!!
Great movie for the family, love Robert Downey Jr. 😍
Nice and cute movie awesome for kids and adult
Could have been a lot better. So many moments had me thinking "why did that happen?" Maybe it was weirdly edited
The worst movie of the past decade. Tried to sleep. Finally walked out at 1 hour. Absolutely terrible.
Light hearted fun with a good moral to the story.
Wait to watch on video
2 stars for effort
We loved it ❤️
Not interesting too boring for. Not expected as they show in the trailer
Boating, A total waste of time and money
Could have been better. Plot a little thin. A lot of star power wasted.
the plot was there, but storyline was poor. figured would be better with Iron Man. great actors but just not to my expectations of how good it could of been.
Worth seeing for the kids.
oversold by trailers (@theatres + teasers in ATOM app/ YouTube - It's A Trap) (all out of order) - storyline predictable as it went on, cgi live action mix was great, the only reason Robert Downey was In it = exec producer=mostly his film/concept - top billing bcuz of 'iron man' , the film was enough to keep you in ' Making you waiting for it to get better', let down, the animals dialog was the best (it didn't matter that they used top actors, could've been any voice over person (script /lines were better thouggt/written /executed), kids were the most distractions dragging their parents out, don't waste $ or an A-LIST / movie perk, we stayed more as a time killer. to each their own.
I walked out . The worst Doolittle . I want a refund.
Saw it with the hubby, we both really enjoyed it and laughed the whole way through. Will be bringing the kids to watch it again. <3
Absolutely love RDJ! I think he is fantastic, he is a fantastic actor and human being all around. Fantastic movie, fantastic cast! Will have to see again!!
Not bad, but not great. I was a huge fan of the books as a child so a bit disappointing how little carried over from the books to the movie. Somewhat predictable plot, nothing bad but nothing great.
Fun enough.
Awesome sauce
Love Robert Downey jr
Fast moving story line keeps you engaged. Not loving the accent though
Would definitely see it again
Good cast
It was good.
my apologies, but it could have been better...
Cute for kids movie but the draw was Robert Downey Jr
Disappointing. Expected much better from Robert Downey Jr.
Was great up until the end. Ended to fast
would see again, it was AWESOME
Just okay. Tbh, almost fell asleep during the movie. Failed to catch my attention.
cute movie but weak storyline
Wasn't the best, but wasn't terrible. Cute movie for kids.
Fell asleep
Great entertainment. The whole family loved it!
bad audio, almost sounded like a foreign dubover. not his best work. trying to copy Captain Jack or Pet Detective
Very Best movie I have seen in a LONG. Time.
Metacritic
What Sheen, born in Gwent, makes of Downey’s accent can only be imagined. It really is horribly inert, and every time Downey opens his mouth to say something unintelligible, the film dies a bit more.
Words are generally a problem for Dolittle—a fatal flaw when your picture is about talking animals. While the words are abundant, most are either perfunctory exposition or anachronistic jokes that fall flatter than the state of Nebraska.
This out-and-out disaster dissolves in a puddle of botched intentions that will leave children sad and confused and adults scratching their heads.
