Atom User Reviews for Dolittle
I spent $30 on Tickets, $20 on Snacks... Kids were awake through the Trailers, they were more interesting, and fun than the actual movie was. 15 minutes in the movie my kids fell asleep. $50 to sleep. I stayed awake for every terrible moment of the movie; cliche jokes, predictable plot, lame humor, everything about the movie was terrible. The trailer for the movie made Dolittle seem like it was going to be an epic. Nope. The VFX, voice acting, and barely tolerable quickly cut scenes make this movie something that came out in 00’. Don’t even watch this on Netflix/Redbox - save your time & money.
Many laughs throughout the movie! A must see!
Very cute and funny movie. The audience laughed the whole way through.
couldn't really understand robert downs jr.
Great actors. Terrible writing.
Great fun for the family.
Great movie! I loved it I saw it opening night and worth the price of the tickets! Will be going to see it again!
Amazing movie :)
I was kinda disappointed the CGI sucked most of the time, the villain was so stupid and cartoonish, but at least RDJ was good but his accent was kinda hard to understand most of the time so yeah I wasn’t a big fan of this movie 2/10
This guy is a fabulous actor, his accents are remarkable.b
Great movie for the family, love Robert Downey Jr. 😍
Could have been a lot better. So many moments had me thinking "why did that happen?" Maybe it was weirdly edited
Nice and cute movie awesome for kids and adult
It was good, but not great. I like him better as Sherlock Holmes.
Predictable plot. Direction and writing was weak
Light hearted fun with a good moral to the story.
really slowed down in the middle.
I walked out . The worst Doolittle . I want a refund.
Don’t care what other “professional” movie ratings say, it is a great movie just for kids and families. Period.
Not bad, but not great. I was a huge fan of the books as a child so a bit disappointing how little carried over from the books to the movie. Somewhat predictable plot, nothing bad but nothing great.
my apologies, but it could have been better...
Must watch! It's even better than the previous one.
Disappointing. Expected much better from Robert Downey Jr.
Such a good movie! I will be watching it again!
Saw it with the hubby, we both really enjoyed it and laughed the whole way through. Will be bringing the kids to watch it again. <3
Wait to watch on video
It was good.
not R Downey's best movie. accent was all over the place. plot was dull. kids seemed to like it.
Wasn't the best, but wasn't terrible. Cute movie for kids.
Was great up until the end. Ended to fast
for older kids. Did not occupy 5 year old.
Ever wonder what your animals are thinking? This was a fun movie, but don't expect it to be like the original. it's a movie of it's own. Great cast, fun story, humorous dialogue.
As an adult and fan of sci fi fantasy. I loved the animation and sets including the talking animals, but this movie wasn't very interesting. very simplistic plot and robert Downey's accent was hard to get into. Perfect for the kids but not much going for it other then the big name & cute animals
Funny go watch it
Not interesting too boring for. Not expected as they show in the trailer
bad audio, almost sounded like a foreign dubover. not his best work. trying to copy Captain Jack or Pet Detective
oversold by trailers (@theatres + teasers in ATOM app/ YouTube - It's A Trap) (all out of order) - storyline predictable as it went on, cgi live action mix was great, the only reason Robert Downey was In it = exec producer=mostly his film/concept - top billing bcuz of 'iron man' , the film was enough to keep you in ' Making you waiting for it to get better', let down, the animals dialog was the best (it didn't matter that they used top actors, could've been any voice over person (script /lines were better thouggt/written /executed), kids were the most distractions dragging their parents out, don't waste $ or an A-LIST / movie perk, we stayed more as a time killer. to each their own.
One of the worst movies I've seen in years
Boating, A total waste of time and money
2 stars for effort
An adventure for the whole family
Don’t believe the critics. Movie is funny and has heart.
the plot was there, but storyline was poor. figured would be better with Iron Man. great actors but just not to my expectations of how good it could of been.
seen it 3 times
Whether it’s Downey’s mannerisms or the dull quipping provided by his menagerie of digital co-stars, Dolittle is a joyless slog trying to pretend it’s a hip, magical adventure.
This is a film that just very expensively sits there onscreen with nothing ever seeming even remotely at stake. It has no weight or substance and delivers no impact of any kind.
An unpleasant, incoherent mess that feels like it was stitched together from outtakes and reshoots of something that used to look totally different.
