issy 🥝So many crazy 3D moments in this film, so so so cool. Gary Oldman is so so so good, odd ending it with him breaking the fourth wall though. The breakup scene with Robin Wright is one for the ages. If cameras worked like this in the real world, I would make them move the…

- Sabrina Bondi likedA Christmas Carol
Morbidly dark and frighteningly realistic - almost as if Tim Burton had a hand in the design. Although I must admit that this film traumatized me as a child.
desirae lovedA Christmas CarolThe ghost of Christmas future is absolutely TERRIFYING. I still believe so to this day 😭. Nonetheless, underrated movie. 8/10
Carson Jewell likedA Christmas CarolIt’s pretty good. I think this style of filmmaking still had some evolving to do. I think that the uncanny nature of the characters is disturbing and makes the watch harder and it’s understandable especially for anybody who didn’t play video games in the 2000s. But I think that the story has a lot…
- Samuel Armer lovedA Christmas Carol
There’s something about this movie. Especially Jim Carreys portrayal of Scrooge that isn’t captured in other adaptations and I’d attribute it towards the mocap and animation as a whole which may be a little uncanny to some but that’s what makes it special to me. Plus it’s Bob Zemeckis who’s a great…
Pauline M lovedA Christmas CarolThis movie is my favorite Christmas movie. Ever since I was a child I’ve watched it at least once each Christmas. I love how it always reminds us of the true value and meaning of this holiday, no matter if you are a child or an adult. Plus the animation & storyline are so amazing

Zemeckis' A Christmas Carol is, in its essence, a product reel, a showy, exuberant demonstration of the glories of motion capture, computer animation and 3D technology. On that level, it's a wow. On any emotional level, it's as cold as Marley's Ghost.

The Hollywood Reporter
Shortchanging traditional animation by literalizing it while robbing actors of their full range of facial expressiveness, the performance-capture technique favored by director Robert Zemeckis looks more than ever like the emperor's new clothes in Disney's A Christmas Carol.
