Bigfoot is on a rampage. Bill’s (George Kennedy) daughter is killed in an attack on his cabin. He roams the forest looking for revenge, armed with a shotgun. A group of young party people show up for some camping shenanigans and are soon being stalked by our furry…
I kind of have to give it up for any film that goes ‘you know what, bigfoot’s only the first level of crazy’. Like kudos to you 80s trash that dreamed big. And happy us for being the recipients of this weird melange of cabin in the woods, monster, zombie, alien, occult…
Now why did you have to decapitate that nice lady, Mr bigfoot? You just saw a pair of boobies, man, so there really was no need to go all nuclear like some crazed berserker. Chill! What a wonderfully weird movie. I hope it will get a nice (remastered) release some…
The movie starts with Bigfoot savaging George Kennedy’s daughter, followed by a truckload of loud, instantly annoying young people on their way to the same cabin in the woods. Naturally this got me ready (hopeful) that they’d all be savaged by Bigfoot as well, leaving…
instantly the best yet film because George Kennedy calls the creature a “six foot fleabag” but also because it manages to involve aliens, zombies, a great bear trap death scene and more random nudity than all of the other horror movies from 1988 put together
Demonwarp is exactly my kinda late 80s nonsensical cinema. One of those films that is endlessy dense with weirdery. Within all of the inconsistencies lies pure beauty and madness. Is it a scifi film? Is it a sleazy cheesefest? Where's the demons? Monster movie? Zombie…
Watched the new UHD 4K Blu-ray from Vinegar Syndrome, a big step up in quality for a film that was stuck on VHS and had been on my list for years. We're living in interesting times, and this shlocky horror outing by director Emmett Alston, responsible for "New Year's Evil…
How has Demonwarp escaped my attention for the last 38 years?? From the moment a big hairy Bigfoot thing bursts through the balsa wood door of George Kennedy's cabin in the woods midway through a game of Trivial Pursuit I knew this was the movie for me! Unfortunately the…
This might be my first Sasquatch horror movie? Yunno! Yunno. Yunno?! ☄️🛸🧟♂️🧟♀️♥️ THE PREMISE: A hundred years ago, a giant space rock smashed into the California woods—and surprise, surprise, Demonwood Forest has been a cursed freak show ever since. 🛸…
eh, it's alright. The acting is poor but the sheer oddity of the plot/concept is kinda compelling. This is not a good film but it is sufficiently weird and thats good sometimes too.
Bonkers
