"The moment you said you loved me, your love is over. The moment your love ends, my love begins." It begins with the mountain and ends with the sea. The two contrasting images always accompany the film. Like Seo Rae's dress, some people think it's green; others see blue.…

Here’s a sentence I never expected to write: The most romantic movie of the year (so far) is a police procedural. Then again, I wasn’t aware that “Oldboy” director Park Chan-wook — whose operatic revenge melodramas have given way to a series of ravishingly baroque…
davidehrlichNov 4, 2022To others I am green like the mountains, to you I am simply blue. Our first meal together was fish, our first word together was "waterproof" (adjective: impenetrable by water), together we are the ocean. We both come from the mountains, our origin is the mist, like turtles,…
YI JIANSep 8, 2022Way funnier than I was expecting, in part because it takes its noir femme-fatale gf/Hitchcockian obsessed-man bf dynamic completely emotionally seriously but in order to sustain it on a narrative level has to keep having its characters make increasingly ridiculous…

I really enjoyed the cinematography, imagery & snappy editing/transitions, which brought this to another level of style. Some really fun sequences too that I won’t give away here. The plot is also very intricate, a noir mystery that’s directly tied to the romance with the MC…
8.1 - a masterful blend of genres. The acting is solid. The camera work & score are fantastic. I also took a lot longer to watch it than its runtime because I did at times feel very lost in the story, at times feeling it was overwritten or maybe just due to the mixed viewpoints.

I was contemplating to make a decision to leave this film. It was so over the place and out of my brain. The edit and transition were cool ngl. Despite the good ratings, this one is not for me

Oh i forgot about this BANGER. I remember watching this movie in the cinema and i legit left like “omg, this might be the best movie i have ever watched” and i stand by that. Top 10 frrrrr. Y’all GET INTO THIS. Shout out to Korea deadass 🫰🏽also honourable mention to the soundtrack
I am enjoy the camera-works and editing style for this cinematic film, the plots is mind-tricking. However, it’s really unnecessary for that detective to have feelings towards the suspect in the first place. Overall, it’s a slow-burn movie and nothing special about the storyline.
Better late than never! Pulling from Hitchcockian sensibilities, Park is able to intricately weave a tale of yearning and murder. The tension is eased by some vulnerability, fooling us into a false sense of security, before turning the plot over on itself to sting like a knife!
