Things I would do differently. 1. Remove the food from the freezer where they put the bodies. 2. Build the wall out of something stronger than cardboard. 3. Close and seriously board up the doors behind the built wall. 4. Seduce Francine away from…

Legendary anyway you slice it. I always get a chuckle at the slow and boring critique of this movie... this opens with chaos before spit-firing into more chaos... then the safe confines of the mall take over as three folks with nothing suddenly have everything... and…
Ian WestJul 3, 2013This review is for the Director's Cut, which is, to me, the best version of the three cuts. It is difficult to pinpoint why exactly a film should be labelled a masterpiece. Most of the times, films receive this honour through tainted glasses of nostalgia. Now, it is…
DirkHMar 9, 2025You're hypnotized by this place. All of you! You don't see that it's not a sanctuary, it's a prison! Let's just take what we need and get out of here! Slow zombies are superior in every way and this movie is your proof.

Bro saw his friends getting mauled by zombies and decided now was a good time to check his blood pressure
YashleyNov 1, 2017Call me crazy, but I'd be really into a 5 hour slow cinema cut of this movie that's just zombies shuffling around the mall and staring at themselves in dressing room mirrors and clutching quarters in their hands and knocking cosmetics off counters and eating the occasional…
Patrick PryorNov 9, 2014George A. Romero's masterpiece. A subversive anti-capitalist manifesto, spot-on indictment of consumerist culture and desensitization, and an exploration of the social construct vs. human nature debate, masquerading as a nail-biting zombie apocalypse thriller with some of…

A uniquely nostalgic classic that remains incredibly enjoyable. Characters are unique and well written, the score is legendary, and the effects still hold up 40+ years later. 4/5
Watched the 2004 version first a while ago, but I actually think this version is my favorite zombie movie so far. I love the soundtrack
A scathing satire on consumer culture, showing consumers to be zombies who mindlessly shuffle around in cycles & eat each other. Surprisingly funny, stiffly acted & poorly paced, often getting flat before finding a way to shake things up. Best when it’s verging on a hangout film.

A worthy sequel to the original film but I don think I would call this one a sequel because it has nothing to do with the original. But still this is the best zombie film I’ve ever seen period with awesome practical effects and I liked that the plot was more just about survival.
I’ve been wanting to watch this for the longest time and today I finally got the chance. It’s amazing how for 1978 the practical effects just work so well and are better than any CGI used today! George A. Romero does a really good job of building tension! Top tier zombie film!

Probably the best zombie movie I’ve ever seen. This movie got everything you’d want, it got action, horror, great practical effects and great characters. This movie also have a realistic story just about surviving.
a suitable sequel to the last film that only falls short when it comes to its weaker visuals and lack of innovation. enjoyable the whole way through with impressive effects and sequences, definitely quite a ride
