    There’s a really neat story in here but I couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed by Darkness Falls as a whole. Needed more lighthouse and spooky vengeful tooth ghost. It’s 80 minutes and the set pieces are solid... plus I had summer of 2003 flashbacks as the vixtrola song…

    Has all the terrible acting, writing and special effects you'd expect from an early 2000's horror movie. The premise is cool and there's a few effective moments but most of this is just boring and not scary in the absolute slightest. It's essentially just a crappy version…

    One of the most underrated scary movies . Probably not something you’ve been recommended or heard of . It’s the perfect mix between scary and down right terrifying . All the characters are very likable and it has an amazing story line . I wish I could watch it for the first time

    The movie turns that childhood fear of the dark into its main weapon. You don't need to see the monster clearly because your imagination starts doing the work. The Tooth Fairy gives that fear a face. Light means safety, darkness means you’re already dead.

    I’m always shocked by how much I enjoy this movie. The premise should make it seem so bad, but it has an amazing opening scare scene and doesn’t go too far off the rails into the ending. This movie should be a 3 but is more like an 8 for horror hounds.

    It was good. The pacing held up, visuals were sharp, and the performances felt authentic. Some scenes dragged, but overall, it left a strong impression.

Darkness Falls -- with a thud. But it does not go gently into the night, for director Jonathan Liebesman and his large crew cram as much style and energy as they can into a hokey and morbid supernatural thriller plot. It's a downer to see so much effort expended on such junk.
