Synopsis

In a cursed town, the annual harvest becomes a brutal battle for survival. On Halloween 1963, Sawtooth Jack, a terrifying legend, rises from the cornfields, threatening the town's children. Groups of boys unite to defeat the murderous scarecrow before midnight. Richie, a rebellious outcast, joins the run, motivated by his brother's previous victory. As the hunt progresses, Richie makes a shocking discovery and faces a pivotal choice to break the relentless cycle.

this movie had everything to be good and unique, but is incredibly poorly developed and confusing, the only good thing was the gore scenes

I’m so here for the Riverdale-ification of horror movies. West Side Story, but make it Halloween themed. Very very cool. Loved the 1960s setting and the entire cast of cute twinks.

Made me think a little of Bentley Little’s The Store, but given a Halloween costing. Predictable, but bloody fun with unexpected but very welcome gore. Coming from the director of 30 Days of Night, I should have seen it coming, amplified by being set in an isolated small town.

Wasn’t really what I was hoping it would be, so not my fave. Gore was a bit overkill at times IMO. I felt the lore wasn’t explained enough for me to really get into it. Wish they talked about when this first started & how, & why the boys are turned into Jack when they win.

never cried because of a horror movie until this one honestly, the part where Jim points the gun at himself had me cryinggg awesome movie i was like this 🫢 the whole time, the ending was phenomenal (really hoped Richie would stay alive but the ending was good nonetheless)
