It was pretty much what I hoped for in a Max McLean inspired production. The dialog is hard hitting and worth watching a second and third time in order to fully absorb what was being said.

Much more powerful than the stage production. Great to see an actor like Nicholas Ralph portray Lewis! I think I'd prefer adding the film-in-the-making footage to the end of the movie, but thought it was fantastic, nonetheless!

Greatly enjoyed the movie, encouraging and informing, well told. Would have been much better without the"how it was made" presented first. Really a spoiler. Seeing the actor as an actor first made it hard to see the actor as Lewis.

Great story-telling. Great acting and effective technique. Thoroughly engaging, thought-provoking, surprising, and completely satisfying. The actors knew who they represented. Very convincing.

I’ve read a lot of Lewis’ autobiographical writings. This movie really captures his essence.

I loved it. As a CS Lewis fan I loved the authentic use of locations. Most of the locations I have visited and to see them on screen with the actual words of Lewis was a treat. The acting was excellent. Max McLean played his role perfectly.

Max MacLean is a wonderful story teller and this has inspired me to read more of C. S. Lewis's works.

Max McLean and the cast do a great job reprising the one man show of the same title, which shows how Jesus works to reveal himself to each person as an individual!

This picture is exactly what the world needs at this time. Everyone, regardless of belief system, should see this film.

I could care less for the how it was made at the preface of the movie. I thought it was great. It seemed like I had the opportunity to get to know him: His life's story, his family, his education, his thoughts. After I reminded myself of the name of the movie, it relieved a bit of a question that I was left with. Understanding that he dealt with a ton of grief after losing his wife, I really thought we'd get the chance to see how they met, how they got along. We only got to see the parts of his life that dealt with his conversion-hence the name of the movie!

Wonderful presentation of Lewis' conversion. Fine acting and lovely photography. Inspiring for anyone searching their heart for answers.

The story of a man’s real experience of submitting in obedience and humbleness to our Lord! What a gift God has giving all of us. Excellent Film!

The how it was made at the beginning of the film was a huge spoiler- absolutely hated that. I expected more acting/dramatization of CSLewis' life & less narration - to be like a movie of his life (much like the theory of everything depicting Stephen Hawkins life). The play is wonderful & a 1 man show is expected in that format... but to use a play format in a movie did not translate well for me. It could've been so much better had there really been acting to convey his life/conversion.

The movie captured the essence of a man utilizing the critical thinking capacity of humankind to truly explore the purpose of life and discovering that God is the author of that purpose and we are not created for this existence alone, but for so much more.

It was exceptional. They really honored the life of CS Lewis in how they portrayed him. Unexpected moments of humor which was nice to see.

Well-acted. Inspiring. Humorous at times, which was delightful. I hope it gets more widespread attention and time in theaters or streaming services. Would like to watch it again because the dialogue is so thought-provoking. Congratulations, Max McLean, Fellowship for Performing Arts, and all involved.

Profound movie.

This movie was very well done. I love the smart perspective by which it was portrayed. CS Lewis lived a fascinating life - so much so that this portrayal focuses on details not widely showcased before.

Didn't know what to expect, hubby & I thought it was very good. Made me want to read some of C S Lewis, now with a new perspective.

Movie was basically the play with scenes amplifying the story. Max Mclean was great just as in the play narrating the story as CS Lewis. Lied that it was flame at Oxford on location where CS Lewis actually attended and taught. Enjoyed it. Did think that the “making of” prior to the feature was too long and somewhat unnecessary.Could have been an “extra feature” on a DVD.

The script and filming was very creative. This is the first movie I have seen scripted and filmed in this manner. I plan to read some of the books that CS read.

Was hoping the movie would go deeper into his conversation process. Found it to be very wordy, clever conversation, but hard to follow (at least for myself it was).

I loved the scenery and costumes especially. It is totally worth seeing for the portrayal of the struggle Mr. Lewis had in accepting Christ. I will have to watch it again to absorb all of the dialogue, which moves quickly. Almost too quickly for me. I like a line or two of the profound and then a pause to think about these things…….that was my only objection. Max McLean -great as always!

Loved it. Historically curate and inspiring. If you like C.S. Lewis, you’ll love this movie.

It was very different in the style, as an adaptation of a one man play, but it was very good. We drove 2 hours to see it and spent the entire time talking about it for the 2 hour drive back. I cannot wait to buy it and watch it again. There is so much to ponder.

Very touching inside look at C.S. Lewis life and spiritual journey. Every skeptic or seeker should watch this movie.

Clever and entertaining adaption of the play.

Great insight into Lewis’ upbringing. Cinematography was amazing and made you feel as if you were in the scene. All around well done!

Loved the movie!! The opening "how it was made" not so much.

Hated the beginning. There is never a good reason to force the audience to watch “how it was made.” Took the mystery out of the movie. Otherwise it was good. A book would be better.

Different than what I anticpated, but very interesting!
