Such a fun rewatch. Joe Carnahan at the height of his powers. Toby Huss steals the entire film and proves he would be a brilliant villain in a Batman movie.
PaulWHauserNov 16, 2024Well, well. Butler action that's like comfort food—nothing groundbreaking, but it hits the mark with confidence. It’s a mashup of clichés, yet somehow, there’s a charm to it that makes it stand out more than usual. Fun action flick. I liked how the movie sets up its story…
werskuOct 17, 2021Release the Joe Carnahan cut? COPSHOP was a fun, pulpy riff on RIO BRAVO/ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13, where the set-up is way better than the pay-off, as most of it makes no sense and it clearly feels like the kind of movie that was butchered in post-production by the studio.…

Lower-tier garbage crime.
Sean FennesseySep 17, 2021The Toby Huss character introduction is ten of the best and most magnetic minutes you’ll see all year.
Ben PetersonDec 18, 2021In reading the reviews of this film, I saw that many compared it to Smokin' Aces, and I can see why. Although it's immediately evident that this one is simpler, more focused, set in one setting, something director Joe Carnahan is adept at utilizing to his advantage. I was…

why was it called Copshop
Jacob TrashOct 26, 2021An old fashioned mindless single location action entertainer that has nothing new to offer, yet ends up a fun watch for its cool violent action sequences, tonal vibe and vague enjoyable comedy. Gerald Butler, Frank Grillo and Alexis Louder are solid. After an interesting…
Michael JamesJan 17, 2022Copshop is a great little film disguised as a made for TV dad flick (coincidentally I did watch it with my dad, he liked it). It feels inspired by a lot of iconic films before it and has fun with different tones in a way that worked for me. Chekhov’s gun is just as present…

I like the actors and the acting but it was too much going on and too confusing for this simple plot. I did not care what happened by the end and I just wanted it too be over and the ending sucked and I wish she just went to the hospital. 65/100
I actually enjoyed this, good to see a women take charge for once, and they didnt dumb her down. love the casting need more movies like this

Didn’t hear anything about this one. Gave it a chance. Started off kinda average but ended up being great. Unique story with plenty of twists. Kept me intrigued and guessing towards the end. The action and acting was well done. Well worth the watch.
Great thriller, maybe a few too many twists but you feel like you know the characters from just this movie.

Pretty Cool Movie, Original Concept. Movie was Intense all throughout even comes with a twist.
Kinda entertaining, but otherwise nothing but an absurd massacre Val Young (Alexis Louder) 👍

It was better than we thought. The character “lamb” made it amusing and it picked up after that. Butler was good in it. I did not get the ending but all in all not bad as far as action.
RMRobert MIt was pretty damn amazing
