Synopsis
As a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) Ruby is the only hearing person in her deaf family. When the family's fishing business is threatened, Ruby finds herself torn between pursuing her love of music by wanting to go to Berklee College of Music and her fear of abandoning her parents.

ashley guerriero lovedCODAhaving personal experience with deaf people, i found this movie to be very accurate it what dead people feel when communicating with the world but also how it feels to be the person having to translate what everyone is saying around them to the people who are deaf. overall 10/10!

Ruby is an underdog worth rooting for, and Jones (the Netflix series Locke Key) is terrific. She’s like a cross between the young Winona Ryder and the young Kate Winslet. The comparison flatters all three.
