Atom User Reviews for Cirque du Soleil in Cinema: KURIOS - Cabinet of Curiosities
Certainly not as good as a live show, but still a wonderful experience. Very well-filmed to give mixture of up close and faraway feel. Excellent acts.
I suggest that you do local advertising in addition to your e-mail list. Don't recall seeing any ads in our area.
Not as good as real but a great alternative Loved the different themes and great camera angles Definitely would see another one
WE loved every minute! Having seen several shows in person, the close ups in this movie filled in the parts we couldn't see.Absolutely amazing!
Always wanted to see details of the costumes and makeups, but I have seen even more! Love it
This Was INCREDIBLE... is the most amazing way to experience Cirque du Soleil.. a point of view you can't get from any other seat. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G
Just as good as the Vegas shows
Having seen a live show, it was nice to have the focus on each artist from a front seat viewpoint
A must see. Loved it!
Agree, not as good as live (Love in Los Vegas) - but can't beat the price. Hope you are going to do more of them -- A great night out.
I love Cirque. It was great to relive the show. Nice to see it from different perspectives.
We have always loved Cirque du Soleil! I was concerned about seeing a CDS show in a movie, but within minutes I forgot I was watching a movie. Seriously! It was a great show as always. Very suspenseful and entertaining! It was nice to get closeups that you would otherwise miss. All in all, my kids and I loved it!! I highly recommend.
Absolutely loved it. I would really like to see it live!
If you have never seen a live show , start with this . It is wonderful and will make you want to drive any distance for a live show!
Cirque du Soleil - What else to say?!
As another reviewer said, not as good as a live show, but at the same time it was better because you definitely got views and perspectives you wouldn't get from being in an audience. I loved the background of the headquarters and the story of the young man, Kelly. Thank you!
Loved the re-enactment of the cat. I love Cirque shows, however prefer it live to the theater
This was fantastic! You have the best seat in the house for half the cost of the usual show tickets. I will definitely be using fathom events more often.
Cirque never disappoints.
Low resolution picture, see the MET HD operas
Not what I thought it would be like.
Horrible music and boring acts
Could have been better.
The live show is amazing, this is ok. There’s no suspense and people don’t know whether to clap, but it’s pointless because it’s not live. The sound is terrible. This is being reviewed by someone who doesn’t miss a live local cirque show.
After only a half hour, the screen went blank even though the audio kept going. Thankfully the THEATRE intercepted the situation pretty quickly, this was touted as a "one nite only" & we all know you can't readily go out & rent it, so was VERY disappointing!!
It was a great show!
I agree it's not quite as good as seeing it live of course but phenomenal acrobatics, phenomenal humor. Just a great great show
Certain acts are only fully appreciable live, but still worth every minute/penny. I have seen many shows live and I would still very highly recommend this.
Another fabulous Cirque production. Truly worth watching.
Performers were all amazing! Incredible athleticism and strength, with fun and humor. Stunts you think have been done have surprising twists. The only downside is being restricted to the camera's view, but it's an acceptable exchange for convenience.
Better live but acts were good.
I’m in love with cirque du soleil. The live shows are magical and this movie actually does a good job of transferring the magic from the live action to the movie screen. I got chills and everything. All thumbs up!
This was a great experience at a much lower cost than the actual show. Cirque du Soleil always puts on a magnificent show. I treat myself whenever I can afford to. I felt like it was missing the shared excitement of the audience and the music wasn't as captivating as a live show, but it was an awesome time, as always, at a very affordable price.
Film version is just as good as live show - we were intimately drawn into the experience and close ups were powerful - awesome to see the act from so many angles - another great cirque experience
loved the show. score lovely and whole show moved very well. didn't like nor need the piece on Reed. Was totally unnecessary and the close-up of his face weren't even nice to look at.
I always wanted to join the circus as a kid, after seeing this, that dream has been renewed!
A wonderful alternative to the live show.
Several acts were terrific, worth the price of admission: the four-girl contortionists, the mime doing his impression of a cat,and the little woman were my faves. Most of the rest were fine, just not CDS quality, The singer was irritating at times, and he quality of the movie was sub-standard. Like I said earlier, worth it for the really good acts. but not so much for the rest.
We had a terrific time. Absolutely wonderful family experience.
The music and visuals are amazing! Thanks for this great alternative to seeing the show live.
This was an amazingly entertaining show, and if you've see Cirque live, you'll have the best seats in the house for a really fun show. Tremendous bargain.
Obviously not as exciting as a live show, but easier to focus on the acts.
What great artistry! Please bring this show to Chicago.
Excellent and entertaining. Since not everyone can get to the live shows, this is a great alternative.
Great show, amazing athletes, fun storyline!
As always Cirque du Soleil is amazing even as a movie! Loved it!
definitely not as good as a live show
We loved it very much. Enjoyed seeing their facial expressions and everything close up but would love to have surround sound and more vivid colors :)
It’s better on screen instead of live. It was like I was on stage with them. This is Beyond a 5 Star more like 10 Stars.
Loved EVERY minute....so glad we got to see this presentation....so different from live shows...although I felt like I was really there in the audience...just floating around seeingthe artists from all angles and heights
