nothing good has ever happened when a member of the manson family from once upon a time in hollywood gets involved with russians in new york
zoë rose bryantAug 28, 2025not risky enough to feel dangerous. not clever enough to be funny. 10% more "talking to a cat" moments would've put it on Argylle levels. enjoyable, occasionally gripping - but locked behind a Save-The-Cat screenplay that doesn't ever trust the audience.

The cat is the real main character.

Amazing performances. Simple story but executed very very well. Explicit scenes so beware of kids. This movie will be loved by film buffs and or casuals.
they hurt the cat. 🤬🤬🤬

At last, an Aronofsky film where it doesn’t feel like he hates us. O brave new world, that has such movies in it.
It’s a little shaggy and you’ll occasionally yearn for a bit more humor along the way. But “Caught Stealing,” based on Charlie Huston’s 2004 novel, is a ride, foremost, in ‘90s nostalgia.
Pulsing up and down the arterial route of the B train from Brooklyn to the Bronx, Caught Stealing is a portrait of NYC at its most grimily charming.
