Loved this movie. After the last one I was a bit skeptical if they could reign it back in and make it amazing. They did just that! Absolutely LOVED this movie. I hope they make another one with McQueen in his new role!
love this movie, and especially new character,Cruz Ramirez
The first film wasn’t bad, though it had its lapses. “Cars 2,” an aberration, was readily forgotten. This one feels like the series, at the end of the road, is running on fumes of nostalgia for its earliest self.
While this movie may not reach the heights of Pixar’s finest achievements, it certainly stands as not only the best Cars, but the most mature one as well.
While visually dynamic, Lightning McQueen’s newest challenge still feels out of alignment with a languid end result that lacks sufficient forward momentum.

Did You Know?
- Executive Producer John Lasseter has teased that the film is a very emotional story, and a little bit more akin to Cars (2006).
- At Thunder Hollow, Cruz (under the name Frances Beltline) has the number #20 sprayed on her right side. When we see her during the talk with Smokey and the other veterans, it is now on her right side. Later she has it spray-painted on both sides when practicing with McQueen (in order to substitute for Jackson Storm, who's racing number is also #20) but this is after McQueen talks to Smokey.
